For The Love Of Dogs

For The Love Of Dogs Fighting for no kill shelters Having recently semi retired, and believing everyone should have a cause. They just don't have a clue what is going on out there .

I took my networking of posting dogs looking for forever homes to a new level. Dogs on the move seemed like a good movements as high kill shelters just don’t seem to be move dogs out . As I surf the web URGENT keeps coming up I would post and pray for someone to adopt , now I am a bundle of nerves trying to decide what direction to go in ! Millions of dogs are being put to death the chances of bei

ng adopted are so slim and the cruel treatment in city and state shelters is going unnoticed, Dogs being hung by their leashes in kennels sedatives not being used before death . The no kill shelters don’t seem to do much better with over crowding . I know long term answer is SPAY/NEUTER but short term I think we need to get network tv involved Americans love their dogs !!!

Dog Capacity Alert!! Within the last week, Animal Services seized 30 dogs and 12 poultry birds from three cruelty cases, in addition to the four dogs already in our care tied to ongoing court cases. Combined with the animals already in the shelter, we are now over capacity for dogs, placing strain on our staff and resources.

Because animals involved in cruelty cases must often remain in protective custody we expect to remain near or at capacity until these cases are resolved.

We need your help:

🐶 Rescue Partners:
As of 8:09 a.m. today, 10% of the dogs in our care are no longer on stray hold and are eligible for transfer. If you're an approved rescue partner, please consider pulling some of these dogs.

🔎 Missing Your Dog?
24% of the dogs in our care are currently on stray hold waiting for their families. If your dog is missing, please check our listings daily (multiple times a day) or visit us in person:

📍 Found a Dog?
Before bringing a found dog to the shelter, please use our free microchip scanning stations to help reunite them with their family:
