After almost 5 months, Madea has been reunited with her human. Thank you to everyone who helped out. Thank you to those for the prayers, those who tagged, messaged, and sought out leads. A very special thank you to Mr. Bill Wray who contacted us to let us know that he thinks she wandered onto his place. 🤎🐾

This was not Madea.

If anyone is at or around the Gilmer ballpark we’ve received confirmation that there is a dog fitting Madea’s description. We can’t get there until later. 😫 if someone can get better pics or if they can confirm this dog belongs to someone that would be great!

May 4 update…

Madea is still missing. We are nearing 2 weeks since she’s been gone. We want to thank everyone who has been looking and following leads.

Thank you everyone who is liking, sharing, and looking for Emmett’s Madea. We’ve had a lot of leads, but so far none have been Madea. 😔

There’s been some hesitation sharing our posts due to the increase of scammers…please know this is NOT a scam. Emmett is very real, and misses his dog Madea.

🖤Madea is a 6 month old female lab, while still a puppy…she is almost fully grown. So we’re not looking for a small pup.

🖤Madea is solid black with golden brown eyes.

🖤She had not been spayed yet.

The evening that Madea went missing she had just had a bath and didn’t have her collar on. She is not a dog that wanders off. She was let outside at approximately 6:30 Friday evening on April 21. By 7:00 Emmett was outside looking for her. They have searched all the surrounding pastures, spoke to neighbors, etc. She is no where to be found. We suspect that due to her not having a collar on that someone may have seen her thinking she was a stray. She loves car rides and people so she could have jumped in a person’s vehicle. We believe that she is most likely with a kind hearted individual who doesn’t realize she belongs to someone.

Just received information that there is a black lab running around Montgomery St. in Gilmer. It has a collar on. If anyone sees it please get pictures.

Madea went missing from her home at approximately 7:00 pm on Friday, April 21. She had just had her bath and was not wearing her collar. Her 12 year old human, Emmett, is desperately looking for her. She is well known in the community and donations have been made in order to provide an award for return. We suspect that she wondered off (not far) between 6:30-7:00 and someone, not realizing she had a home, picked her up from her home off of FM 1975 in Gilmer, TX in the Ewell area.

🖤She is solid black. No markings. Eyes are golden amber….see pic in comments

Madea is very well behaved. She was trained by Emmett and was in the process of becoming an amazing hunting dog. She knows all basic commands and loves to go ride in the car.

Vets have been contacted in Gilmer, Longview, Pittsburg, and Mount Pleasant.
