Back when I was a youngster. “Shaka” my Chow Chow. We joined a basic obedience course at a local pet store and completed the AKC CGC program. I learned a lot with this dog. We worked through many challenges together. She was stubborn, independent, reactive and loved to bite. Her thick coat masked subtle signals and I quickly had to learn her other cues. She turned out to be a loyal dog and I am grateful for the lessons learned.

Sometimes “memories” pop up on my phone and the picture makes me stop and think about that moment. This is a picture of me fishing up in Northern California over 10 years ago with my dog “Cooper”. I am grateful for this photo as Cooper has since crossed the rainbow bridge. When I look at this photo, I can hear the river running, smell the campfire in the air and taste that monster rainbow trout that was slammin the line at the other end of my fishing pole(maybe smaller than a “monster”) 🤣 “Cooper” went everywhere with me and we had some awesome adventures. I sure do miss that boy.

Yesterday we took “Yogi“ and “Titan“ out and practiced basic commands while exposing them to real world scenarios to improve their reliability.
