"Poppy and Daisy's Big Adventure" Book Launch Day is Monday, Oct. 7! That's 15 days away! We're so excited about Poppy and Daisy's new book coming in 15 days that we are showing you page 15 from the book. On this page the baby ponies are in Pony Kindergarten at Stoney Creek Chincoteagues in Hughesville, Pennsylvania. The book will be available on Amazon.com in hard cover, soft cover and e-book on Oct. 7!

Poppy and Daisy know that tomorrow is the first day of Fall so they asked if they could try on their new rubber ducky rain sheets. This was the first time they had worn a horse blanket or sheet and they were extraordinarily well-behaved. Poppy and Daisy are now officially prepared for rain! 💦💦

Well we had fun playing outside the arena today in Leadership 2 Partnership. 🥰 So proud of the horses and humans! Working in close traffic and not one rude interaction between horses or humans. Good teamwork, everyone!

UPDATE Friday morning: Wishe passed two big, beautiful piles of p**p during the night. He thanks his friends for their good p**py wishes. 🖤🤍🖤
Wishe had a tummy ache today. Many, many thanks to Dr. Mario Tellez for coming out and treating him at dinner time! We think we caught it in time and think he will probably be ok. Now we’re on p**p watch for the rest of tonight.

The next DreamPower New Volunteer Orientation will be this Saturday, Sept. 21 from 10:00 -11:30 am at DreamPower Horsemanship (7460 Crews Road, Gilroy, CA). Anyone who does not feel well in any way should not attend this orientation. Healthy and interested volunteers age 14 and up are welcome. High school, college and community service hours available. Horse experience appreciated but not at all required! Please spread the word and invite a friend to help make our world a better place, starting at DreamPower! We hope to see you there.

Starting the day talking about trauma and self-care with the San Jose Police Department officers, Community Service Officers and 911 dispatchers in the Crisis Intervention Training Academy. Good people doing good work. It’s an honor to be able to share ideas with them. 🖤💙🖤

Nothing like some hands free obstacles to test the relationship. 😁 A goal by the end of the year is to keep the arena gate open for the duration of a hands free class and have all the horses stay inside the arena. 😁 We’re working up to that!

This book by Martha C. McNiel is based on the true story of Poppy and Daisy, two Chincoteague Ponies who now live and work at DreamPower Horsemanship in Gilroy, CA.
