because of company restructuring issues, and retiring. I'm not selling hit air vests any longer. I still believe they are the best value and safety features in the market.
yesterday my airvest failed, to because I forgot to put a cartridge in it and zipped up the cartridge bag. user error. I also wear motorcycle EN2 body armor for my back. I am fused from L4 to S1. this is just chronic old age I never had a bad back injury but I needed the fusion to stop nerve pain. in looking at the hit air info it says a vest should be replaced every 5 years. I think the best I had I have been wearing since about 2012 and it is 2023. So I think that's reasonable every 5 years to replace the vest and investment. So lucky for the body armor I do have some very small stable fractures on the transverse processes of three of my lumbar vertebrae. My back does not hurt at all but I do have some nerve pain from my fall. I can walk around and actually feels a little better walking in meandering. A few weeks and I'll be back in the saddle and exercising getting my strength and fitness back. and, I bought a brand new MLV c 2 vest. It is the coverage I prefer as I believe it has the most coverage on your body.

Are Ground Poles Really Effective?? πŸ’ˆπŸŽ

STUDY DEMONSTRATES EFFECTIVENESS OF GROUND & RAISED POLES IN TRAINING & REHAB

Walking over poles is a commonly employed training and rehabilitation tool- but how effective are they really? Researchers set out to understand the effect of ground poles on equine locomotion, particularly joint range of motion.

A recent study assessed the effect of ground poles and raised poles on limb kinematics and poll, wither, and pelvic range of motion at the walk. Researchers hypothesized that walking over poles would increase joint range of motion but have no effect on poll, wither and pelvic range of motion compared to no poles.

41 horses were walked in-hand over no poles, ground poles and raised poles in a crossover design. Limb kinematics were determined via motion capture (240Hz). Poll, wither, and other aspects of range of motion range of motion were determined by inertial motion units.

The study determined that walking over both ground poles and raised poles increased limb-joint range of motion and increased poll range of motion, through increased swing flexion, compared to no poles.

In summary, walking poles appear to be effective at increasing joint range of motion via an increase in mid swing flexion, without vertical excursion of the trunk, compared to normal locomotion.

Given that this is a key early rehabilitation and training goal for many horses it supports the use of poles for these purposes.

This is a test. The technology here is the same as in the point two vest or the hit air advantage. This best comes from China, without a cartridge for $138. The cartridge is $30. Any questions let me know I'd be glad to answer from the perspective of an expert who really knows the technology.

For anyone watching I am very much behind schedule I'm blowing up the Chinese safety vest. I will post a video when I do it.

So, this comes from China $138. The air vests that are sold by the brands Pt. 2, 800 bucks Hit air 550 bucks. The helight and others between $500 and $600. So I thought why not see what this is. The air mechanism is the same as Pt. 2 and the hit air advantage. This one however has a solid seat in the back with the fabric. And so the two separate seat cushions are contained in one fabric pocket. It is not adjustable from the inside. Only on the outside with the buckles. I will blow it up and post some more.

I am no longer a vendor for hit-air. I'm very curious about this and LOVE the price. I'm confused by the cartridge size, 33cc. Hit- would use 50 or 60. By looks, it's the same design as the mlv model.

Well, I don't follow my own advice. Riding is a sport. That means if you are not physically fit, if you do not practice regularly, if you do not train your muscles and reactions you are fooling yourself and taking a greater risk in an inherently dangerous rugged adventure sport as horseback riding is classified by insurance companies and anyone who knows anything about the nature of the horse and the nature of the human. If you use ANY kind of link attaching your vest, it must have a SWL, Safe Working Limit of MORE than what you weigh. These are stamped, swl 150 lbs, if you weight 140 or less, these could work and are super cheap. BUT, remember you must be attatched to your saddles structure, english stirrup bar, western horn or gullet, etc. Be safe and have fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
