“Ms. Sutter coming to the end of her stay with me. She's so much more motivated to engage now. Meaning the duration her folks wanted from her at least has value and understanding. Just because we say our board and train is 21 days, doesn't mean they go home then. She's rolling into her 6th week with me and doing great. I was on her learning curve more than mine.“

“Update on Lucy: Lucy has been working on learning how to walk nicely in the heel position, building engagement, going through her positions while in the heel and holding those positions once asked of. This is all pretty huge for her considering she did this with a little bit of distractions going on with people and dogs walking by. She is very dog and human reactive.”

“Handsome Javier doing some work. It’s not uncommon for these compact guys to have issues rolling their hips into a seated position without flopping over to one side. To get him to sit in front of me was quite the task, but now he’s doing it like a pro with every recall. He’s not quite done with his work here but he’s definitely on the right track. “

“Working Mr. Chesty's tuck sit. Couple sessions in.
Reinforcing the sit more than the stand to get him offering the right behavior on the board. It's fun to go in depth with positions and their changes. I'll use a rear foot target to get a better stand when I need to. Getting the donkey moving and luring like this wasn't the easiest. His mustache definitely doesn't help the reward delivery. “

Really excited to see his final transformation but we’re definitely not fast tracking it. It due time Rocky!! Great job guys!!!
“Some dogs just need the comfort in knowing that you aren’t going to abandon them like they are use to.
Rocky needed a safe, controlled and consistent home to learn that he doesn’t have to be on high alert at all times.
Rocky came to us as a feral dog not understanding what it was like to live among humans. His biggest fear is any pressure around his neck - so putting a collar/leash on him has been the main focus for our training.
Some people reach out asking if Rocky is still around. Rocky is indeed still available for adoption! My wife has started helping with Rocky’s sessions for the simple fact that he seems to progress faster with her. He still hasn’t fully opened up to me, but we are making progress which is all I can ask for.“

“Running around my driveway with a bear. Simply teaching George that his name is a fun thing and getting his big butt moving. It's not just a word he hears with emotion when he's barking for hours on end at home. 🤭
George will be on a journey to fitness during his stay as well to shed some weight and increase the stamina he has for our working sessions. Right now he has about 5 minutes of stamina, which will only get better during his stay for him to be the lean working breed he has the potential to be.

“Me and Sutter starting to get some progress. It's been slow going for sure. I've had her about 10 days now. I really haven't asked for anything at all in the way of behaviors. Just bringing positive associations to the environment she's in.
I'm not one to rush dogs, if I can't reinforce them I really don't ask for much. If Sutter would have felt that leash snag early on into our relationship it could quite easily of been a bad experience for her. Who knows what she could of associated it with. Hopefully she forgot it quickly with me upping her reward rate and releasing her out. Mistakes happen.“

“Blaze is headed home Friday! He’s all of 16 weeks old now and has the fanciest prance of all the golden doodles I know. I’m gonna miss his cute face but this is not the end. He goes home to be with his family and they’re gonna keep him on the track that we set him on and when he’s ready he’ll be back to help him solidify that work and add more advanced skills.”

Chesty has been one interesting R&T to say the least! As we do with all of our clients, Lee works with him at his own pace and makes the best out of every session.
