PS: I know there is only 13 days until camp. But as most of you know, I am fighting stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. That being said, I wanted to really pray about this and make sure my health didn’t let me down before scheduling it. I want to be able to do this to the best of my ability for all the kids. Thankfully I am blessed with amazing volunteers and friends to be able to pull this off and I couldn’t do it without them!

I am trying to fill a horse trailer with supplies to make a drop to families in need (I have been in touch with these families personally to find out the needs and there is a lot of them. Mouth of Wilson, Rugby, Lansing, Creston area) I am not sure what day I will be making this drop but trying to get as much as possible as quick as possible to get it there sooner than later!

But I am calling on everyone here on social media that feels lead to give donations or meet me with supplies to help. I am happy to plan a time to meet you to take whatever supplies you have to donate from this list.

If you can’t physically shop for them but still want to help, my Venmo is >gilleybarw< (last four numbers of my cell is 3509 if it asks) and you can donate there and I will shop for as much of these items myself as well. My goal is to fill our trailer up so we can help as many people as possible in one trip.

‼️If anyone needs a temporary place to board their horse/horses right now, please reach out to us!!! (No charge) I wish we could help in even more ways because I know there has been so many people who have lost their homes and so much more. But if we can help to take atleast one tiny thing off someone’s plate to not loose more we would be happy to.

‼️We can haul them as well! If you just need help moving them from one place to another even if it’s not here, we can do that too.

I know after horse camp I had a lot of anxious kids ready to ride more. (Goal accomplished 😉) So, if you have one of those horse lovin kids and they are interested in taking riding lessons, comment below. I will shoot you a pm with more details this week.

I’m just now getting a chance to post some photos from our first horse camp. Summer has just been packed full of to much fun for the Gilley’s.
But I have been working on ideas for our next horse camp. I am also praying about starting a lesson program. If you are interested in either of those options please comment below!

Day 1 one our summer horse camp and what a day it was! I can’t wait for tomorrow! Here is just a few candids of the day from when I had a second to grab my phone. (or when I ask someone else to grab it and catch a few)

We had a jam packed day that was non stop but it was all worth it! Man, what a great group of kids! They have just blew me away today!

Stay tuned for more! I’m too tired to share anymore today. lol But that means it was a good day 😝🤦‍♀️😉 Thank you God for these blessings on me! Thankful for a tired day of doing activities I once was not able to do!

Only 6 more days until Summer horse camp!!!

Camp emails will be going out tomorrow morning. I will be sending details about drop off times, pick up time, show case information for the last day of camp, what your child needs to wear and bring to camp and more.

We have so many fun things planned and each day will be packed full with all things horses and lots and lots of riding! Your kids will be begging for a horse of their own before it's even over. (sorry not sorry parents🤣)

June 27th, 28th and 29th >9:00-12:00<
12:00-1:30 on the 29th will be the campers showcase!

🌟What you will receive at camp🌟

〰️⚡️Three days of horsemanship classes, lots of hands on learning and most of all an amazing time on horse back.

✔️8:45-9:00 we will have prayer and a devotional. We will start each day with this.
✔️10 professional high res images of your child with the horse or pony of their choosing.
✔️Online gallery with free high res downloads of all their fun at camp.
✔️A camp t-shirt.
✔️Snacks and drinks provided
✔️A personalized folder with all things horse for them to take home and study.
✔️A personal checklist of things to accomplish by the end of camp to give them something to work towards.
✔️A show case event on the last day of camp to show off their new skills to their family.
✔️Camp awards will be given during their show case event on the last day.

Drop off is between 8:30-8:45. This will allow us to start promptly at 9:00 to ensure we don’t miss any activity planned.

🌟Summer Horse camp at the Gilley Bar W🌟

When⏩ June 27th, 28th and 29th.
Where⏩ Glade Spring, VA

9:00 - 12:00 Thursday and Friday.
9:00 - 1:30 Saturday.
⚡️Saturday from 12:00 - 1:30 will be our riders showcase. Parents and family are invited to come watch their rider show off the skills they learned at camp during that time.⚡️

🐴I will post our full itinerary of activities for camp tomorrow along with pricing!🐎

Our goal is for your child to go home with a new interest in horses and a fire to get involved in the equestrian world. This is a horse introductory camp. We would like to introduce your child to the enjoyment of “barn time”. We will primarily be teaching horse care (grooming and feeding), knowledge in horse tack, how to halter and lead a horse, how to tack up, how to mount a horse correctly, reign management and very basic riding skills. Of course we plan to make these basic but very fun tasks a learning experience they will never forget or one that sparks a love for horses that will last the rest of their lives.

If your child already has basic horse experience but would still like to enjoy this with us, I promise they will not be bored. Some extra experience and barn time with friends can do many things. Like boost their confidence with their friends support to help them grow and take that next step in their skill level they didn’t know they needed or could do.

So come join us at the Gilley Bar W for our first annual horse camp. I hope this will be something that God continues to grow, allowing us to serve a lot of kids. God has really convicted my heart to use the skills He has given me to serve and be a light. In this season of our life He has chosen this to be the place we shine our light and I can’t wait to see how He moves.

((Our youngest boy Weller has been holding a rope in his hand since he could walk. We are praying for lots of rodeo days ahead with this one, one day!!!))
