I’m just now getting a chance to post some photos from our first horse camp. Summer has just been packed full of to much fun for the Gilley’s.
But I have been working on ideas for our next horse camp. I am also praying about starting a lesson program. If you are interested in either of those options please comment below!

🌼🪻🌸The best way to start off our long holiday weekend! The first of five cookouts is in the books for the Gilley’s. Ready for a lot more tan lines and fireworks.
Day 1 one our summer horse camp and what a day it was! I can’t wait for tomorrow! Here is just a few candids of the day from when I had a second to grab my phone. (or when I ask someone else to grab it and catch a few)
We had a jam packed day that was non stop but it was all worth it! Man, what a great group of kids! They have just blew me away today!

Camp emails will be going out tomorrow morning. I will be sending details about drop off times, pick up time, show case information for the last day of camp, what your child needs to wear and bring to camp and more.
We have so many fun things planned and each day will be packed full with all things horses and lots and lots of riding! Your kids will be begging for a horse of their own before it's even over. (sorry not sorry parents🤣)

🌟What you will receive at camp🌟
〰️⚡️Three days of horsemanship classes, lots of hands on learning and most of all an amazing time on horse back.
✔️8:45-9:00 we will have prayer and a devotional. We will start each day with this.
✔️10 professional high res images of your child with the horse or pony of their choosing.
✔️Online gallery with free high res downloads of all their fun at camp.
✔️A camp t-shirt.
✔️Snacks and drinks provided
✔️A personalized folder with all things horse for them to take home and study.
✔️A personal checklist of things to accomplish by the end of camp to give them something to work towards.
✔️A show case event on the last day of camp to show off their new skills to their family.
✔️Camp awards will be given during their show case event on the last day.
Drop off is between 8:30-8:45. This will allow us to start promptly at 9:00 to ensure we don’t miss any activity planned.

When⏩ June 27th, 28th and 29th.
Where⏩ Glade Spring, VA
9:00 - 12:00 Thursday and Friday.
9:00 - 1:30 Saturday.
⚡️Saturday from 12:00 - 1:30 will be our riders showcase. Parents and family are invited to come watch their rider show off the skills they learned at camp during that time.⚡️

Our goal is for your child to go home with a new interest in horses and a fire to get involved in the equestrian world. This is a horse introductory camp. We would like to introduce your child to the enjoyment of “barn time”. We will primarily be teaching horse care (grooming and feeding), knowledge in horse tack, how to halter and lead a horse, how to tack up, how to mount a horse correctly, reign management and very basic riding skills. Of course we plan to make these basic but very fun tasks a learning experience they will never forget or one that sparks a love for horses that will last the rest of their lives.
If your child already has basic horse experience but would still like to enjoy this with us, I promise they will not be bored. Some extra experience and barn time with friends can do many things. Like boost their confidence with their friends support to help them grow and take that next step in their skill level they didn’t know they needed or could do.
So come join us at the Gilley Bar W for our first annual horse camp. I hope this will be something that God continues to grow, allowing us to serve a lot of kids. God has really convicted my heart to use the skills He has given me to serve and be a light. In this season of our life He has chosen this to be the place we shine our light and I can’t wait to see how He moves.

((Our youngest boy Weller has been holding a rope in his hand since he could walk. We are praying for lots of rodeo days ahead with this one, one day!!!))

For those concerned about the 🐈 …Wilkes adores Birdie and all cats. (Sometimes to much!) He has learned his lesson on why we don’t jump on the trampoline with cats! 🙀
We are greatly missing the other half of our Gilley boy party right now but we know they are being spoiled at home with all the Grandparents! 2 days down and 3 to go! Travis and I might need a nap but it has been worth every penny, every step and every “are we there yet?” so far!
☀️⛅️ This morning was so pretty and I got to love on the sweetest horses before work! Thank you Guy McLean for staying with us and letting us be your horse hotel! It was a pleasure to have you all and we look forward to seeing you again next week! We hope you have a great time on the road here in the states!
She will do everything, but she isn’t good at anything… except for always taking care of this wild bunch of boys!
We love this girl and she is worth her weight in gold to me! We are hoping we have finally pinpointed what’s been making her lame and she can get back to doing her job of being the barn babysitter!
🏈I hope he loves football as much as I love watching him play! This season could last forever for me!
Good thing there is four of these Gilley boys and football will be a long time thing in our house!
And just like that the second Gilley boy is off to Kindergarten! 🤠 In his normal cowboy fashion!

Last night was WyLee’s last horse show as my “baby”! This week he starts kindergarten and will no longer be a “baby” in his words! Little does he know he will always be that to me!
The little boy who always wears me out, he has no stop, he always gives 110% to everything, he never complains, and he will put hisself last always if he can make someone else feel good or have what they want!
After getting home after 12 last night he says. “Mom, I know I have to help feed my horse cause he worked good for me today and your back hurts but I’m so sleepy. Could you hold me? But if you still can’t mom cause it hurts your back it’s ok!” For you kid, ANYTHING! Dirty little butt and all!
We love summer evenings making hay and being lazy with the dogs when it’s all done!

Our Cash and sweet Nala have had another litter of puppies this weekend. This will be their last one. We are enjoying every second of cuddling puppies. Our boys have been obsessed with them to say the least and have talked us into keeping almost all of them. 🤦♀️
We have all males but one! She was the last puppy to be born and I thought the whole time there is no way she has just all boys …. 😂 The Gilley’s just don’t make girls, even in a littler of pups. So I was very surprised when she had a female last!
We have three beautiful dilutes and the rest all black tris. We will have 4 of them for sale soon so if you are interested in a black tri male please shoot us a message!
Gods promises never fail!
The beginning of this week I took the first photo heading out to run all the horses in the arena before the snow storm.. About fifteen minutes later I took the second photo right when it started sleeting snow so hard it would burn your face!
Did someone say they wanted to see some cute cowboys? Well ready or not they are coming at ya today! We never shared all of the many photos we got at Christmas time of our wild bunch but today we are sharing a few more with you!

Tim and Bryce have boarded with us for a long time now and our boys always get excited to see them pull up to the barn. Because if you know Tim Carter you know he is as big of a kid as any! ;) Thank you all for boarding with us!
Becca and her pretty girl Zara are back with us after break from Emory and Henry College and our boys have missed spoiling Zara with carrots! Becca is part of Intermont Equestrian At Emory & Henry and we appreciate them boarding with us!
We want to say "Thank you" to Cindy Jackson for boarding with us! Cindy has two pretty amazing little ponies with us and has been with us for quiet some time now! We love having Cindy, Clint and Kelly here with us!
Barn cats ... we got um and somedays they probably wish we didn't. They are loved but loved hard here!
We want to thank Jessika Haga & Kody Cox for all their hard work here lately helping us feed and for keeping the inside of the barn looking good! We appreciate you!
