Seating is designated for registered bidders. At an auction, prices are anyone's guess! Horses have sold from $9,000 to $140,000. ✨Do the horses have reserves? Each consignor sets a reserve price on their own horse. If that price is not met, the consignor must declare "No Sale" in the sale ring, before riding out. ✨Can I purchase these horses before the sale? No, once the consignment contract is signed, the horses must go through the auction ring. ✨If these horses are so great, why are they being sold at an auction. Sellers (and buyers) have a variety of reasons for choosing an auction. First and foremost, an auction brings together a multitude of buyers to one place, and all at one time. Instead of having to show their horse to dozens of people who may not be serious buyers, they can show their horse in once place, for one day and walk away with a closed sale. And when you have a really nice horse, you want as many people as possible to see him! Additionally, consignors appreciate the additional marketing their horses receive from sales. On the flip side, buyers appreciate being able to choose from so many quality horses in one place, and the guarantees that come from a reputable auction. ✨What happens to the horses that don't get sold at the auction? 🐴 SHINING N DRIVING (Shiner) Shiner is a really fancy and gentle gelding that we started as a two year old. He is very talented and easy learning. He will ride English or Western. He has had lots of ranch work done on him such as roping out on the range, dragging calves and sorting pairs off. Shiner also has been on many trail rides and overnight camping trips. He works good for beginner riders and is a fun ride for the most experienced riders also. Shiner has been rode by 3yr old kids to old grandmas and has been a very safe ride for all. He has the most comfortable slow jog & rocking chair lope on a draped rein. You can sit on him all day he’s so smooth & easy. Tater Tot has cute correct spins & a great “whoa”. He will ground tie where you drop a rein & stand like a statue to mount & dismount. We have ridden him all over our ranch & even roped the sled & breakaway steers. He’s naturally cowy & fun to use to gather & sort cattle. Tater Tot side passes to the gates & will go over all the trail obstacles with ease. He will ride english & bareback too. He has been over small jumps & likes it. He rides quietly through town with busy traffic, motorcycles, bicycles, strollers, & crowds of people. He’s not watchy or spooky in anyway. 🐴Tango has been put to every test you can imagine by our family; is one handed broke, extra smooth, forgiving and has the tolerance of a 25 yr old gelding! Tango is tried and true for any level. He has been shown in some horsemanship classes and he even goes english very nicely! This was the very first horse our 7 yr old daughter, Saylor, ever rode english. He has taught her so much, let her fall in love with english riding and has given her all the confidence in the world! Tango hauls great and there is no commotion or chaos that ever bothers him. He is safe around traffic, fireworks and machinery and he crosses obstacles with ease. Our kids climb on bareback and ride to town for sodas every chance they get! Tango also knows a handful of fun tricks, like the curbside mount, laying down, and pushing the ball. He will ride bareback, bridle-less, triple, double whatever you want to do he’s up for it! Tango does not only ride remarkably, but he is also very trained to drive. Tango is a breeze to drive, it’s one of Saylor's favorite things to do with him!
