Branlins Taxidermy Customers and friends- I want to thank you all for your business and support. This means a lot especially being newer to the business and working our way through Covid which caused many, many back ups in all industries including taxidermy. There are a few things I would like to address.
When there were shortages, it was difficult, at times nearly impossible to get supplies (for example: I waited over 6 months to get a pair of bird eyes) that changed the ability to push mounts out as quickly as I would have liked. Therefore, there was a backlog which I am still trying to catch up on.
This is my second job. I work 40 hours a week and also have a family with 2 young children. I missed MANY of their extra curricular activities because of my military obligations, which I am now able and will be attending since my guard retirement.
I do not tell you this to complain, or whine. I simply want you to understand that I do have to make a lot of things happen in my life. I love taxidermy and spend hours each night out in my shop. I could push things out fast, but that means subpar work, and I refuse to do that. You pay hard earned money on these mounts and you deserve my hard work and artistic skill as much as my other customers.
As you may have noticed I have not posted many pictures of mounts that leave the shop in the recent months, I have a lot more that go out that aren’t posted. That’s not because I like one mount more than the other, or I prefer a certain customer or that’s all that I am putting out of the shop. It’s because I noticed every time I post a picture I get multiple messages asking when “your” mount will be completed. I assure you, I have your mount. I am working on mounts. Im trying to keep putting out quality mounts as quickly as possible. I work on animals by species. You just seen a post with birds, so im working on birds now transitioning to small mammals and slowly into deer and fish. I pull things out of the freezer as I feel I will have time for to work on inbetween. I turned down quite a few people this year so I have the opportunity to catch up. All my customers deserve the same quality and care for each mount as the next. I will be in touch when I start finishing work on your mount. From there it’s about a 2 week time period for it to be completed. I hope this clears up some confusion on your mounts. Thank you again for your patience and business
