As of July 1st ,2024 we will be charging a $20 fee to process any outside pharmacy online prescriptions (chewy, 1800petmeds, etc....). You may fill any online prescriptions through our clinics online pharmacy for no additional fee by going to our website (www.m18vet.com) and clicking on the pharmacy link. Our online pharmacy ships directly to you with all guarantees from the manufacturer. All eligible rebates are automatically deducted from the price of the product. We also have an auto ship discount that applies to all shipments made on the auto ship. If you have any questions regarding this policy, please let us know.

Summer is here and so are the ticks! We have been seeing an increased number of pets with tick borne diseases. We highly encourage all pet owners to make sure that their pets are covered with a veterinary approved flea and tick prevention. If you are unsure about the prevention you are using, please call your veterinarian and find out if it safe for your pet. If you find any ticks on your pet that are attached and alive call your veterinarian.

Memorial weekend is coming up fast. If your pet has anxiety with loud noises make sure you talk to your veterinarian about something to help keep them calm. We need to think about our pets when it comes to the holidays, especially those holidays with fireworks and parties. Also, make sure you keep your pet secure during the holiday weekend. It is not uncommon for pets to take off when they are scared or anxious.

They have started construction on M-18. Please be aware that there are traffic delays getting to our clinic. Allow for an extra 10 to 15 minutes due to the construction. Heartworm Disease is becoming more prevalent every year. Our clinic follows the American Heartworm Society regulations for testing and preventing heartworm. Below is a link to a video on the life cycle of heartworms in dogs. If your pet is not on year round or has missed a dose of prevention we do require testing every 6 months. If your pet is on year round prevention and has not missed a dose we require once a year testing. Please watch the video below and let us know if you have any questions. We have been seeing lots of pets with ticks this year. It is a myth that ticks die over the winter. Ticks will borough down into the leaf layer during the winter and can still attach to you or your pet if disturbed. If there is no snow they will still be active on the warmer days. Year round prevention is needed to protect your pet from getting any tick borne illnesses. Call us today if your pet is not protected.
