We accept dogs and cats of EVERY breed. Meetings are by appointment only. If you have any questions you can feel free to message us at any time and we will get back with you within 24 hours. Mission Statement: To provide a safe haven for neglected, abandoned, abused, or unwanted companion animals. To show them love and patience. To prepare them physically and emotionally to find a great forever home.

Dusty needs a new home.
He's about 2 years old, high energy, half Husky, Half Heeler. Has natural herding instincts.
Dusty needs a home with room to run, farm life would be great, but not sure how he'd be with chickens. He's medium/big dog friendly, gets along with grown cats, can be rough if not supervised with kittens. Don't know about small dogs.
There will be a re-homing fee. Utd on vaccinations, is neutered, flea and tick meds onboard. Call 989-256-3173 ask for Chris.

Over the next few days we have a heat advisory in Michigan. Temperatures are supposed to to reach over 100 with the heat index. PLEASE keep your pets inside and offer fresh cold water frequently throughout the day. Weather like this can easily kill your dog. Please also consider leaving them home.

FSFH Rescues abandoned cats

A few months ago Few Steps From Home rescued over 20 cats from being abandoned in a small trailer in Bay City MI. With lots of TLC we are happy to say that they are doing well and are ready for adoption. Our goal at FSFH is to take in unwanted cats and dogs, rehabilitate and give them the medical attention they need until we can find them their new forever homes.
