Last week, we had a staff event where we all got to paint one of our pets. Liza chose to paint Larry’s portrait and LOOK HOW AMAZING IT IS! By the looks of it, I’d say Sir Larry Toaster approves! (and yes … that’s his full name 🙃)

Good morning and welcome to summer (temp wise at least!) Due to some planned vacations and unforeseen circumstances, for the next several weeks our front desk will be running very thin staff-wise. Some of our other team members from treatment will be helping out as much as they can, but you may experience some delays and wait times on the phones and at check in/out. We apologize for the inconvenience and ask that you please consider those hearty souls manning our desk as the temperatures soar and their work hours increase!

This morning our computers will be down for a couple of hours as we begin the process of launching a new server. We are operational but will not be able to access charts during this (hopefully short) time. If possible, please hold off on annual appointment requests or med refill calls until after 11. Recently the news has been reporting and many of you have been inquiring about an outbreak of a mystery canine upper respiratory infection. At this point, much is unknown – is this a new bug; is this an uptick in normal respiratory disease; is this normal disease that is receiving abnormal attention? What is known is that at this time no cases have been reported in Virginia. Equally as important is the fact that there are many causes of canine infectious respiratory disease complex (CIRDC) and that those cases climb at times when dogs gather in large groups more frequently. To keep your dog safe, consider the following steps: Limit your dog’s contacts, especially contacts with unknown dogs. Keep your dog away from sick dogs. Likewise, if your dog Is sick, keep it away from other dogs. Finally, make sure your dogs are vaccinated for some of the causes of CIRDC – the Bordetella (kennel cough) and influenza vaccines. 🥳🥳HOORAY FOR COOPER🥳🥳 He is our star loser!!!! Cooper was having a hard time get up from laying down and doing stairs. He lost 9lbs!!! 9 lbs!!! He is now able to do the things he loves. When his humans come home he gets up and runs to give them love 💗 He swims at the lake and makes sure EVERYONE is safe before he goes out on his own swim 🌊🐶🛟 Let’s congratulate Cooper on his new lease on life 💙🐶

🚨🚨ALERT🚨🚨 Flu vaccines are back ordered and we have run out. If your pet currently started the flu series and needs their second booster we have set those aside. Annual flu boosters or initial flu vaccines are not available at this time, and we are unsure when they may resume. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. We will also let everyone know when they arrive.
