We want to wish Gabby the best of luck in starting the next chapter of her life! Gabby has with us at Green Forest Vet for 5 years now and has positively impacted the lives of so many dogs, cats and humans during that time. We will miss Gabby very much, but can't wait to see what amazing things she will accomplish in her future.

Hank came in for his next round of big boy vaccines. Almost 20lbs and only 11 weeks! We can’t wait to watch this big boy grow up! Next month he will be bigger than Rudy 🫣❤️🥰

Today is Feline Leukemia Day, dedicated to raising awareness about the Feline Leukemia Virus.

If your cat is not vaccinated against FeLV, now is the time to make an appointment! Not only does getting your cat vaccinated help prevent them from getting sick, but it also helps stop the spread of the illness. Most vets recommend testing unvaccinated cats for FeLV, as well. It can take several years for symptoms to develop, but early treatment is important.

Did you know that July is National Pet Hydration Awareness Month?

Our four-legged friends are not as equipped to deal with extreme heat as we are; they lack sweat glands and rely on panting to stay cool. As a result, they’re very quick to overheat—and require a lot of water to stay healthy.

Remember to never leave your pets unsupervised in hot, poorly-ventilated areas in addition to being able to recognize the signs of dehydration!

FLUFFY IS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION!
Fluffy isn’t so fluffy right now due to severe matting of being in the wild. The last picture is her full luscious locks that will grow back.
Fluffy isn’t cut out for the wild and needs a permanent lap to warm.
We are still learning more about fluffy’s personality, but she loves people and scratches. She is an adult, apparently healthy and FIV/FeLV negative. Let us know if you know anyone interested! She is with us at Green Forest Veterinary Hospital. Please contact Chris at 516-455-2244
