YES! In fact, ESPECIALLY in this economy!!
📈
While cost of living continues to rise, unfortunately, so do veterinary medical costs. At Pinnacle, we pride ourselves in providing the best possible care for your pet, the best doctors, the best nurses, the best client service staff, the best support staff, the best equipment...you get the idea. And as a privately owned veterinary hospital, we are not immune to the rising prices of what WE need to ensure we can continue to provide all of that for YOU.
📈
So, is pet insurance REALLY worth it? We think so, yes. Here is why...
📊 Many options to choose from:
When pet insurance started to gain popularity, there were not many options to choose from. Not only that, but the insurance itself was not always cost effective for people who owned breeds known to have certain health risks, or pre-existing conditions (which were often determined by people working for the insurance providers with little-to-no medical or veterinary knowledge or experience). Today, there are MANY pet insurance providers to choose from, and not only that, but many of them even boast that they will provide coverage for "pre-existing conditions", and breed-specific health conditions.
✏️Customizable plans:
Because there are so many options for pet insurance, this makes providers competitive, which in turn is a benefit to YOU, the consumer. Each company offers the same basic service- your pet gets sick or injured, you get reimbursed for a percentage of your vet bills. However, there are actually many providers offering unique benefits, such as basic annual wellness coverage. You can also often choose your monthly payment, your deductible per claim, and even the amount you are reimbursed.
❤️🩹 And the best reason of all, no longer worrying about the financial aspect during unexpected veterinary visits:
While most practices and hospitals cannot currently accept direct payments from the insurance providers, having pet insurance and knowing exactly what your provider covers can almost always allow you to consider the options your vet has given you for pet care with your pet's quality of life as the PRIMARY reason for how you choose to move forward. Instead of having to say "this costs too much", you can say "do whatever you need to make them feel better".
🤓
We cannot tell you which company will best suit your needs, but we have listed below some reliable and well-established providers to help you get started in finding the one that is right for you. There are still more GREAT companies not listed here, so while starting with the companies below is a good way to get an idea of costs or get some quotes to compare, another option is to ask your family vet for their advice. Some clinics and practices are affiliated with providers, but this is not necessarily a bad thing. Unless the practice is owned by a larger corporation, often they are affiliated because they CHOSE to be affiliated with this company based on their ethics and practices. Still, at the end of the day, PLEASE CHOOSE A COMPANY THAT WILL BEST SUIT YOUR FINANCIAL NEEDS! Afterall, that IS what pet insurance is about! Being able to provide your pet with the best medical care you can, no matter the cost.
