We had such a wonderful morning welcoming the Veterinary Technician students from Manor College! 💙🐾

The group enjoyed a grand tour of Pinnacle, followed by an in-depth radiology lesson taught by our neurologist, Dr. Brewer, and our Diagnostic Imaging nurse, Liz.

A special shout-out to one of our neurology nurses, Nicole, who baked fresh pastries for the students to enjoy during their lesson — the sweetest surprise! 🥐✨

We’re always grateful for opportunities to support the next generation of veterinary professionals. Thanks for spending your morning with us! 🩺📚

Pinnacle was honored to be one of the sponsors for the “Benefit for the Birds” event hosted by Tri-State Bird Rescue & Research Inc! A few of our staff members attended the event & spent the evening enjoying yummy food & drinks, mingling, & dancing their hearts away! 🦅💙

💐 Sweet Piper had to miss her parents’ wedding day while she stayed with us in the hospital, but that didn’t stop her from celebrating in her own special way! The emergency team made her a beautiful flower crown & took her out for a little photo shoot in the yard so her parents could see their girl looking wedding-ready. 💕

She might not have been at the ceremony, but she was definitely there in spirit — & in full floral fashion! 🌸🐾

💙 Pit Bull & Bully Breed Awareness Month 💙

October is dedicated to celebrating pit bulls & bully breeds — some of the most loyal, loving, & misunderstood dogs out there. 🐾

Despite their reputation, “pit bull” isn’t a single breed, but a group of dogs that includes the American Pit Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, & similar mixes. What they all share are big hearts, strong bonds with their families, & a desire to please their people.

Unfortunately, years of misinformation & media portrayal have unfairly labeled these dogs as aggressive or dangerous. In reality, most bullies are affectionate, goofy, & eager-to-love companions who thrive on human connection & positive training. Like any breed, their behavior is shaped by their environment, socialization, & care—not their genetics alone.

As veterinary professionals, we see firsthand how gentle & resilient these dogs truly are. ❤️ This month (& every month), we encourage everyone to look beyond the stereotypes & celebrate the incredible bully breeds who fill our homes & hearts with joy.
