Jill Willcox, a former Dressage judge and professional trainer, and managed by Emily Dugan, a Long term apprentice and equine body worker. Inspired by philosophies and the natural order of the horse, Jill and Emily work closely with the riders and their horses to ensure an understanding and mutual relationship between the pair. Jill has been focusing on the horse's body and its interaction with th

e human body for many years, and perhaps this is why she is best known for her quality training and riding. At Tory Hill Farm we advocate natural horsemanship and emphasize the relationship between horse and rider. We allow the horses to train us as much as we train them. During the morning “work-to-ride” program, we ride bit-less with a ba****ck pad focusing on communicating with the horse using the seat and body, rather than the hand. Jill has many methods of teaching students how to feel the horse's movement to synchronize horse and rider to not only be in harmony, but in the best form to have a truly enjoyable ride. Our work to ride program runs daily 9am-12 and consists of stable chores, haying, mucking and horse care followed by a group bit less riding lesson from 11-12. Private lessons are also available through the afternoon.

Good morning!

Letting all friends, boarders and lesson clients know that Tory Hill has no electricity from the storm last night. As of now, PECO says our estimated restoration time is Saturday at 11pm.

We will be closing the barn at dusk for the saftey of both people and horses so please plan your visits during daylight hours. This also means that all lessons after 4pm are cancelled until further notice.

All of our ponies are safe and sound and other than some branches, we seemed to make out pretty well through the storm. Please be careful driving as Ivy Mills Rd still has many trees in the road. Watch for downed wires and flooding ❤️
