We offer a wide variety of programs including basic riding lessons to summer camps. Please contact us for more information on program availability and rates. Southern S Equestrian is a bit different from your average riding Academy. I have been teaching Children and Adults to ride for 30 years and I truly believe there is so much more to learn than just the instructional riding class. Here at Sou

thern S we teach the ground work, training techniques, safety awareness and full animal health care to each and every rider. Once our students have mastered their riding technique they learn that every ride with their horse from then on is a lesson for either the horse or the rider. I like to believe that when a student leaves our Facility and apply what they have learned with us that they are completely confident in their own abilities as a rider and horse owner. So come ride with us and begin a life long journey of learning and joining a like minded kind of family!!

Hey all!! Well this is the last and Final post for Southern S!!! It was a privilege and honor to known you all!!! Gary and I are just so filled with amazement of the relationships and extended family that came from this endeavor. Thank you all again for making Southern S an amazing experience you will all be so missed but forever loved!! Oh annd if you have a helmet still here it’s the last weekend to retrieve it!!!

Wow! All I can say is WOW! I can not believe all the wonderful and thoughtful texts and calls I have received. I have set and read back through each and everyone while crying like a baby. Thank You all so much. I had no idea we had made such a difference for so many just doing what I loved. But make no mistake all of you have made a huge impact on my life as well. The feeling of community and fellowship and love has been something I never expected when I began this journey 3 years ago. Please remember us in your prayer and help us to follow Gods plan cuz this old lady is scared to death😂 to be making such a change so late in life.But just know we love you and Thank you again for all the support and love you guys have shown.

It is with a sad heart that we are closing up Southern S.. but want to say thank you for allowing us to love your kiddos. We have been so blessed to have not just made life long relationships but truly extended family!! I’m not sure what Gods plan is completely for this next adventure but I do know I trust in him and he will guide us thru this next endeavor. You all will be so very missed. Keep riding and keep your eyes on the Lord!! Love you all.

Hey all looks like we are closed remainder of the week due to the storm that rolled thru Monday. Not only did we get 2 inches of rain and the arena is drench and standing in water but minimal damage in the barn. Lights actually blew down!!! Geeez!

So Great job to Kinzie, Mea, Avery and Mady!! First barrel race for three of the four and was super proud of all of them!!! Huge shout out to Kinzie taking 1st in the 2 D!!!! And last one but such a great day!!

We had a great day today after Arena lessons we spent sometime working on trail work. The kids had a blast but so did the horses. Food for thought always work your horses in the field and trail obstacles not just Arena. Makes for a well rounded horse!!

This little one wasn’t about to let the bigger kids beat her in the candy tape race. She cheated and used her hands but that whole thing was in her mouth before you could blink!!!
