Can you smell this photo?

Dental cleaning is crucial for our pets because it helps prevent plaque and tartar buildup, which can lead to gum disease, tooth loss, and other serious health issues. Dogs and cats can hide pain well, so they can be living with tooth aches without you noticing it. By the time you can smell it, the infection is often bad enough that extractions are necessary. Don't wait until teeth are decaying to clean your dog's teeth!

Our dental cleanings start at $400, which includes bloodwork, dental rads, and anesthesia. Book an appointment with us for a consultation!

*Extractions are an added cost

UPDATE ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿš‘ Chessy did great in surgery. We are so grateful for Dr Suny of Cactus Pet Hospital for opening her office on a Sunday to do this surgery at a significant discount for the rescue.

Dr Suny was able to remove the blockage with just a tiny incision. While we intended and expected to lose the puppies, once she was in there, she determined that a second procedure to remove the puppies would actually be very hard on Chessy given her current hydration status. So a quick glance at the puppies, blood supply was still good and they currently looked viable. So, she closed her up quickly and we will monitor to see how the mama and the pups respond to yesterday's surgery. It is still possible that they may not make it to term because of the stress of the necessary surgery to save mama. She and the puppies will be touch and go for the next few days. She was sent to foster with an IV fluid plan and minimal medications since so many things arenโ€™t safe for the puppies. The puppies need to stay put for another 20 days while Chessy recovers from the obstruction surgery. Mama needs to get into a more stable shape to be able to deliver and support a litter of puppies. At all times, mama's health is our priority.

Thus far, between surgery and the emergency clinic - we are at a total bill of about $6k, with a possible second surgery, possibly a C-section & spay or other procedures based on how Chessy and the pups do in the next few days and weeks.

Thank you for your continued support!
