What a fantastic show we had!!! Ther weather was interesting going into it….lots of handwalking the week of and bathing in the rain Thursday night! Oreo decided to choke right before his bath (he’s ok and was cleared to go to the show). But we made it and had a great time! Lots of people tried new things this year and I was so proud of all their performances and looking forward to seeing their improvement throughout the year.

What a fantastic last show of the year!!! It was definitely a little too cold….however the weather was amazing!! We brought 5 horses and all 5 won at least one blue. We had three in the next in show receiving: 1st (Pumpkin), 5th (Sunny), and 7th (Corona). Taylor and Corona received youth versatility high point as well as overall versatility high point. Taylor and Corona also tried side saddle (second time they had ever done it) and they did really well and are looking forward to working on it this winter. Thank you to everyone at home that held down the fort and rolled when needed with the things at home. We couldn’t have fun without knowing you guys are taking care of everything.

Better late than never….we had a fantastic time this year in Tennessee. Sarah (who was about 6 months pregnant) and Hailey made their first trips back East and did us proud! Sarah placed in all, but one of her classes (and they were huge). They received a 4th out of 18 horses!!! Also Taylor and Sarah rode Corona and received a 10th in the double rider class which I found amazing for an all day pleasure horse!! Hailey did great in versatility and equitation on Captain (who also made his first trip back East, for that matter first trip outside of local shows)! She also catch rode Sunny in a youth class for us and had some local trainers talking about how fantastic they looked in their class earning a good ribbon. Hailey and Captain won the youth versatility high point with Taylor and Corona receiving reserve. Taylor and Corona also won youth western high score for the show. Hailey and Captain won dressage high score for the show. Pumpkin and Chris did great in their country Pleasure classes. Taylor’s whole goal going with Corona this year was to carry the flag….Corona stepped up to the challenge and they got to do it twice! I had a blast showing Captain in versatility and can’t wait for next year. Sunny was his usual perfect self and received a ton of reserves!!!! Finally snagging the youth TWHBEA medallion class!!

In other news with the heat wave it’s been early mornings and late evenings. Remi and Legacy got the sprinklers today and boy did Remi enjoy it!! They stood underneath the sprinklers for about 10 minutes then when fully wet Remi went to roll and boy did he roll!!! Jennie was at the gate waiting to bring him in when I shot the video. Hence why he was debating about getting up then decided not to. Good luck Natasha getting them clean!!!
