Big welcome to our newest caregiving professionals!

💡Did you know that all new hires go through 2 days of training?

Beginning February 2025 all new caregivers attend 1 day of procedural training and 1 day of hands-on training at our offices. On top of that, we host annual day-long trainings + regular hands-on coaching throughout the year. Not only do new hires have at least 1 year of experience, but we also run multiple background checks to make sure they are top notch quality professionals to work in your home. And yes, ALL of our employees are licensed, bonded and insured.

This past Friday, January 17th, Mr. Nevanko celebrated an incredible milestone – his 85th birthday! 🎈 But the celebration didn’t stop there – he spent the entire weekend surrounded by family, with loved ones visiting all day, every day.

It was a weekend full of love, laughter, and delicious Croatian food from his home country, not to mention plenty of pastries to enjoy! 🍽️✨ Mr. Nevanko especially loved spending time with his grandkids, making unforgettable memories.

While it’s been a weekend to remember, he’s still looking forward to his favorite dessert – custard pie from Polly’s Pies – and we hope he gets to enjoy it soon! 🥧💛

Here’s to you, Mr. Nevanko – a wonderful celebration for a wonderful person. Wishing you a year ahead filled with joy, health, and more sweet moments!

⚠️ Do you know how to detect a heat related illness??

First, please SHARE this post -- to your stories, a friend, family, everyone. As we face this dangerous heat wave, we need as many people aware of what heat related illness looks like and how to help!

🚨HEAT STROKE

→Symptoms
•Confusion or slurred speech
•Loss of consciousness
•Skin that is hot and dry or extreme sweating
•Seizures
•Very high body temperature

→How To Help
•Call 911 right away
•Move them to a shaded, cool area
•Cool the skin quickly with a cold-water bath, if possible
•Place cold, wet cloths on the head, neck, armpits, or groin
•Circulate the air with a fan

🚨HEAT EXHAUSTION

→Symptoms
•Dizziness
•Headache
•Heavy sweating
•Hight body temperature
•Irritability
•Nausea
•Thirst
•Weakness

→How To Help
•Take them to a clinic or ER
•Call 911 if immediate medical care is unavailable
•Provide water in a cool area, encouraging frequent sips
•Remove extra clothing
•Wash the head, face, and neck with cold water
