Training Tuesdays: "Leave it!"
Hey Buddies! Today we will be going over the command "Leave it!"
This is a great command to use in any situation where your dog is focusing on or trying to get to something they shouldn't be. Maybe you dropped a piece of food on the floor and you want to make sure they don't quickly try to gobble it up. Or maybe you're on a walk and your dog tries to charge for a piece of trash on the floor. If you have any questions please leave them in the comments below! ๐พ

Just wanted to show you all how cute and fun it can be to get your children involved with your training! Getting the whole family involved not only is extremely fun but gets everyone on the same page and sets your dog up for success. If your whole household including the kiddos are all using the same training techniques and commands your dog will have a much easier time listening to you and understanding you. Consistency is key when it comes to training meaning anyone handling your four legged friend needs to be on the same page!

Hope you all are having a wonderful day today! Here is our first series of videos for the "Tricks for Fun" training program we are following.
Today we are starting with the basics and teaching our dogs the marker "Yesss". We like to use "Yesss" as a way to mark the exact behavior we want our dogs to continue to do as they do it. For example: Everytime you ask your dog to do a certain command and they do it we mark it with "Yesss" and reward them!
We want our "Yesss" marker be instant! Say it as soon as your dog does the wanted command and I mean within seconds.
Today we will be simply teaching our dogs the word "Yesss" by saying it and then rewarding them.
If you are interested in learning more about the "Tricks for Fun" program please feel free to email, call, or even DM us.

This adorable pup is located at Baldwin Park Animal Shelter. He is scheduled to be euthanized today.๐They will extend his date if anyone can foster him!!! He was very scared when he came in but with trust and time heโs turning into a very sweet and loving boy. He has shown some signs of food aggression and doesnโt know how to handle small children yet. That can all be taught and worked on. For now, we need someone to open their home for this little guy to give him a chance! Heโs 10 months old! Please if anyone can help or share this post! Thank you!
