Your dog’s comfort is important!

The environment at the Laughing Dog Lodge is different from most other kennels. For one, there are rooms instead of cages, and the dogs cannot see each other, which can be a huge source of stress for them. Drop offs and pick ups are flexible, but do need to be scheduled - this includes Sundays.

Boarding costs are $25 for one dog per day, $40 for 2 dogs in the same room per day, $55 for 3 dogs in the same room per day, plus tax.

There are 9 rooms and 3 play yards, so the dogs can have lots of outdoor time on nice days. Dogs from different families are not let out all together. Dogs remain on a home-like schedule: out first thing, every few hours, and at bedtime. We will do a play date if the owner is okay with it, and we have a compatible partner. Sometimes the dogs are more at ease if they have someone to hang with, but again, it has to be okay with the owner.

We do offer long-term boarding, and have several dogs who stay with us a month or more every year. We do our best to keep them happy and occupied. Special care is taken to make sure they do not become stressed.
