Someone passed this onto us and we thought it was a great idea to share.
With the 4th of July right around the corner we tend to get several calls about dogs getting out, and owners frantically trying to find them. We ask that you make sure your dogs have their collars on, updated contact information on their licenses, or do something similar to the picture below !
We can not scan for microchips. We do not have a scanner, and if the vets offices are closed, we will have to transport any found dogs that are unclaimed to Lake County Dog Shelter.
We love our community fur babies and want to make sure they are safe! 🐾💕

For the past month I have been saving the clean fur clippings from all of my grooms to send to an incredible non-profit organization - !

Matter of Trust takes clean hair, fur, and lint to help clean up oil spills, add to soil to create mulch, and more to help make our planet better! I’m so excited to redirect what would have gone to the landfill to benefit our planet! 🥰

Our free rabies vaccination clinics are starting again in March! Please read below to see the dates/times for all clinics. 💉🐾

Clinics will be held in the admissions lobby of our shelter: 5082-5088 NY-28 Cooperstown, NY 13326.

Please remember to bring your pet’s previous rabies certificate with you if you have one, so that the veterinarian can look at it to determine if your pet is eligible for a 3 year vaccine.

2024 SQSPCA Free Rabies Clinic Schedule:

- Monday, March 25th: 3-6 pm

- Monday, April 22nd: 3-6 pm

- Monday, May 20th: 3-6 pm

- Monday, June 24th: 3-6 pm

If you’re looking for a dog groomer I offer professional dog grooming services that guarantee to make your pet feel more comfortable with a healthy and beautiful-looking coat.
Dogs are groomed one by one, so they are guaranteed to be in and out in no time with lots of individualized attention and don’t have to sit in a kennel in a stressful, loud environment.
Grooming is open Monday through Fridays 9am-5pm as well as select weekend availability.

Our next vaccination clinic is on the horizon! Saturday, February 17 from 10 am - 1 pm, we will be hosting a vaccination and microchip clinic here at MHHS in Menands. This clinic is for cats and dogs only and PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. There are a limited number of appointments, so schedule yours today!
