Delmar area!

Update: The owner has been located and the dog has been safely returned home. Thank you to everyone who helped share the information.

Found Dog – Delmar (Heather Lane area)

This afternoon, a male brindle terrier was found loose in the Heather Lane area of Delmar. He is neutered, wearing a black collar with a red bow tie, and has a microchip that is not registered.

He is very friendly and appears to be older. No lost dog reports have been filed at this time.

If you recognize this dog or know the owner, please contact the Bethlehem Police Department at 518-439-9973 (non-emergency).

Please pre plan, to keep your pup SAFE this fireworks season!! Call your vets NOW!

It’s a great time to start rehearsing a few different self-pacifying games and experiences that you can offer your dog during the fireworks to support them.

A wonderful opportunity to practice one of the few golden rules of dog behavior:

If you want something to improve behavioral outcomes in the condition your dog struggles in, the approach you choose to use must already have a solid reinforcement history associated with it.

For anyone in the Bethlehem area who is without power!

EXTREME HEAT WARNING-DAY 2 The National Weather Service’s extreme heat warning continues into the evening today.
- The pool complex at Elm Ave Park will be open from Noon to 8pm today, and the Bethlehem Public Library will be open from 9am to 9pm.
- The Town Hall auditorium will be open as a cooling/charging center from 9:30am to 4:30pm. If there are widespread power outages again, we will extend the hours, so check back here or the Town website (www.townofbethlehem.org) for updates.
