Like many of you, this week's storm knocked out our power, phones, internet, computers, and air-conditioning! Our staff could be found sharing fans with our patients to keep cool. 🥰 Thanks to you all for your kindness, and patience as we get back to normal.

Unfortunately, we have to CLOSE today at noon. With no phones, no internet, no power, and no AC means we cannot cool our building safely for our patients, clients, and staff. Any emergencies must visit a local emergency vet. Apologies for any inconvenience!

NEW - Missed Appointment Policy

Dearest Clients,

At Glenmoore Veterinary Hospital, we strive to be available for your pets during office hours. It is disheartening when pets do not arrive for their scheduled appointments. Each missed appointment is not just a missed opportunity for us to see your beloved pet, but also means another patient loses the chance for timely care.

We kindly ask for your assistance in attending your scheduled appointments. If you cannot make it, please call us as soon as possible so we can reschedule and offer the slot to another pet in need. This small effort makes a huge difference and allows us to provide the best care possible to the pets of our community.

We understand that life happens. In medicine we too experience emergencies, and can be delayed. However, to ensure we can serve as many pets as possible, we ask that you notify our office at least 24 hours in advance if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. As a courtesy, we will continue to remind you of upcoming appointments via email, text, and phone call.

Effective July 8, 2024, clients will be billed a $70 fee for every missed appointment (or cancelled appointment without 24 hours notice). Clients with more than 2 no-show visits in a 12-month period may be discharged from the practice to allow us to prioritize pets whose owners are able to keep their appointments. In some instances, a deposit will be required to hold your pet's appointment time.

Thank you for trusting us with your pets' care. We greatly appreciate your understanding and continued support of our practice. Your cooperation helps us continue to provide the best care possible to every member of our GVH family.

This week is going to be HOT! ☀ Know the signs of heat stroke and protect your pet from this emergency medical condition.

Signs of heat stroke include:

🌡Excessive panting
🌡Excessive drooling
🌡Difficulty breathing
🌡Vomiting
🌡Diarrhea, with or without blood
🌡Weakness
🌡Incoordination or stumbling
🌡Sudden collapse
🌡Seizures

If your pet is experiencing signs of heat stroke, contact VRC at (610) 647-2950 immediately. We are open 24/7/365!
