❄️💔 PLEASE READ — A BEAUTIFUL CAT WAS FREEZING ON A PORCH 💔❄️

A Warren County resident brought a sweet, gentle young cat into my clinic after finding her wandering, freezing cold — scared, hungry, and shivering.
And absolutely no one looking out for her. 🐱💔

They reached out for help.
They tried a known rescue.
And they were told:
“We’ll put her on a waitlist — mobile home park cats usually have issues.”

This is not a system.
This is abandonment by the very structures meant to help.

The Good Samaritan cannot keep her. She’s only temporarily warm. She must find her place ♥️
So after her exam — despite their best efforts — she’s now back on their porch out of the cold because there is literally nowhere in Warren County for abandoned cats to go.

This is not rare.
This is not “unusual.”
This is every week in Warren and Washington County — because there is:

❌ No shelter
❌ No intake system
❌ No safety net
❌ No county plan at all
This is the SECOND cat just this week failed by our counties — the first being the tiger-striped cat with the BB pellet who died in my care.
Two in one week.
How many always go unseen?

But here’s the good news:

💥 OVER 2,000 people have now signed our pledge.
We are growing. And we are not going away.

👇 PLEASE SIGN & SHARE — we must push into the thousands:

📣 OFFICIALS WHO CAN HELP FIX THIS:

Warren County Supervisors:
John Strough – Queensbury
Claudia Braymer – Glens Falls
Mark Westcott – Queensbury

Washington County Supervisors:
Robert Henke – Argyle
Samuel Hall – Fort Ann
And the remaining 15 Supervisors across the county

📣 QUESTIONS THAT MUST BE ANSWERED:

💬 Where should this cat have gone?
💬 What is the intake process for injured animals in our counties?
💬 Why are Good Samaritans carrying the weight while our counties do nothing?
💬 Why have we not applied for available state funding for shelters?

We can fix this. But only if we speak together.

🐾❤️ Share her story. Share the pledge. Be their voice. Be their shelter.

Police Dog has my heart ♥️ and now the community needs to know the truth. We have no place for beautiful souls just like him! Our counties have betrayed the animals, and you too. It may be you one day who finds a lost and injured animal but find you have no place to turn. Let’s make this ultimate betrayal come to an end! Let’s force the counties to build a humane shelter for all!

♥️🐾 THIS is Why We Need a Shelter — Police Dog’s 400 Days on top of 10 years 🐾♥️

Today, as we continue Police Dog’s journey with world infamous dog trainer Tom Davis, something became painfully clear:

⭐ ‼️Had there been a real county shelter system — a true ladder of security — Police Dog would not have spent over 400 extra days in abuse.
400 days of fear.
400 days of trauma.
400 days of becoming more reactive because he had no place to go and no one to intervene in time.

His suffering was prolonged because our counties have no functioning humane shelter, no emergency intake, and no structure to protect animals seized by law enforcement.

Tom Davis said it plainly:

“Ten out of ten people would have euthanized this dog.”

But I wouldn’t.
I fought for him.
And he fought — every single day — to stay alive.

⚠️ A dog does not become reactive without a reason.
⚠️ A dog does not defend himself unless he has been forced to.
⚠️ A dog does not learn to fear unless someone taught him fear.

And yet, even after everything he has endured, he is healing.
He is learning.
He is trying.
He is determined — and so am I.

Because he deserves this chance.
Every animal does. He will have the best years ahead ♥️

🐾 This is why your pledge matters.

We cannot allow another animal to endure 400 extra days of suffering because there is nowhere for officers to bring them.

Your voice could save the next Police Dog.
Your signature could build the system we desperately need.

❤️ Warren and Washington County Animals Deserve a Shelter

These Are the Faces We Fight For

These four souls represent everything we are fighting to change.
They are the faces of Whitehall.
They are the faces of Washington & Warren County.
They are the faces of a system that has failed for far too long.

Three survived.
One didn’t.😿
And none of them should have suffered in the first place.🥲

There is work happening behind the scenes.
Letters written.
Meetings requested.
Plans forming.
Momentum building.

And I’m not stopping.🔥🐾

Because these are the faces we fight for — and the ones who will come tomorrow, next week, next year. I’ve dealt with this nightmare far too long!😡
They deserve protection.
They deserve care.
They deserve a shelter.

Nearly 2,000 pledges and growing.
We are building a movement strong enough to reach Albany — and loud enough that no county official can ignore it. I’m calculating what they should but will not 💰

I invite — a champion for animals, a powerful voice in our region, and someone who has changed thousands of lives — to stand with us.
Your platform could bring hope to an entire community of animals who have none.

His name will never be known, but his story matters.
The beautiful tiger cat found in the Whitehall school parking lot has passed away.
We learned that teachers saw him early in the morning, but he didn’t reach my clinic until afternoon.

He spent his final day and night in my clinic wrapped in love, warmth, and compassion — the way every animal deserves to live. We provided full diagnostics, pain control, fluids, and comfort care. He was treated as though he were our own.

He died peacefully, pain relieved. And he was not alone.

What we discovered is devastating:
💔 A BB pellet lodged near his spine — a sickeningly common sign of cruelty
💔 Unable to walk, in unbearable pain
💔 Unneutered, infested with fleas and tapeworms
💔 Completely unclaimed — no home, no safety net, no system to protect him

This should never have been his fate.

I will be doing a private cremation for him and will lay his ashes to rest on my property with dignity. He deserved a full life — not this.

But his story is not just a tragedy.
It is evidence.
It is the warning.
It is the reason we are fighting.

This is exactly what happens when a county has:
❌ No shelter
❌ No safety net
❌ No humane structure for animals in crisis
❌ No system for law enforcement to rely on
We cannot stop repeating these words.

And here is the shocking truth:
I have calculated the cost of a county-run animal shelter.
It would cost residents $5 a year.
Five dollars.
A single cup of coffee.
Are there really people who would refuse humanity over $5 a year?
If so, they need to take a hard look in the mirror.

I have drafted letters requesting meetings with all 28 town supervisors in Warren and Washington Counties.
We need accountability.
We need compassion to finally outweigh bureaucracy.

We are growing.
We are nearly 2,000 signatures strong, and I am aiming for many more so we can take this directly to the state level with a unified, undeniable voice.

🐾 ANOTHER WHITEHALL ANIMAL IN CRISIS — AND AGAIN, NO SHELTER TO HELP HIM

Today, a gorgeous tiger cat from Whitehall, NY found his way into my care… because there is nowhere else for him to go.

Dog Control received a call:
A cat was lying in the Whitehall school parking lot, unable to get up and clearly suffering.
They knew no shelter existed.
So here he is — because our counties have left veterinarians and citizens to shoulder what should be a county-level responsibility.
This sweet boy is:
• ❌ unable to stand on his own
• ❌ in significant pain
• 🔍 covered in fleas
• 🔍 infested with tapeworms
• 🔍 unneutered and likely abandoned
• ⚠️ has a fractured canine tooth
• ⚠️ and X-rays revealed a BB pellet lodged near his vertebrae

We do not yet know whether the pellet is related to his current condition or pain — only that it should never have been there at all!

He is unclaimed.
He is homeless.
He is hurting.
And once again, there is no county safety net for an animal like him.

❗ WHITEHALL AGAIN. WASHINGTON COUNTY AGAIN.

This is no longer coincidence — it is a pattern of failure.
A failure of structure, compassion, and responsibility.

And this is EXACTLY why we are fighting.

I have drafted formal letters to both County Administrators —
John Taflan (Warren County) and Melissa Fitch (Washington County) —
requesting that they organize a joint meeting with all 28 Town Supervisors across both counties.

Because we need:
✔️ a plan
✔️ a method
✔️ a system that makes sense
✔️ and a standard of care that reflects a first-world, humane, compassionate community

Animals live in our towns.
Animals suffer in our towns.
And animals deserve to be recognized in our towns.

A civilized society does not ignore the innocent and the weak.

🐹✨ Guinea Pig Bladder Stones: What Every Pet Parent Should Know ✨🐹

Did you know that bladder stones are one of the most common and painful conditions we see in guinea pigs? These tiny herbivores are masters at hiding discomfort, so by the time they show signs, they often need help fast. 💛

❗ What Are Bladder Stones?
Bladder stones (uroliths) are hard mineral deposits — often made of calcium carbonate — that form in the urinary system. They can cause pain, infection, or even block the ability to p*e. 😢

⚠️ Signs to Watch For:
• Straining to urinate 🚫
• Blood in the urine ❗
• Crying or squeaking while p*eing 😥
• Loss of appetite or weight loss 🌱
• Sitting puffed up or acting uncomfortable 😔
• Strong-smelling or cloudy urine 🧪

If you see any of these, your guinea pig needs veterinary attention right away.

🩺 Treatment Options
• X-rays to diagnose the size and location of stones
• Pain control to keep your piggie comfortable 💕
• Antibiotics if a urinary infection is present
• Surgical removal (cystotomy) – often the most effective treatment for actual stones
• Supportive care: fluids, syringe feeding, probiotics, GI support after surgery

Guinea pigs do not pass large stones easily — they often need intervention.

🌿 Prevention Tips

You CAN reduce the risk!
• Feed low-calcium leafy greens (romaine, green leaf, herbs) 🥬
• Use timothy-based pellets, not alfalfa, for adults 🌾
• Provide unlimited timothy hay to help maintain hydration and gut health
• Encourage drinking! Offer fresh water daily, consider multiple bottles 💧
• Avoid or limit high-calcium veggies like spinach, kale, parsley ❌
• Keep weight healthy with regular activity 🐹💨
• Routine vet checks to catch early signs

💛 Final Thought

Guinea pigs bring so much joy with their little squeaks, popcorns, and big personalities. Helping them avoid painful bladder stones means a happier, healthier life — and more of those adorable wheeks we love! 🧡🐹

If you have questions or notice any concerning symptoms, we’re here to help. 💛

🧡🍁 Happy Thanksgiving to Our Incredible Community 🍁🧡

To every single person who has signed our pledge, shared our posts, shown up, spoken out, or simply cared — thank you.
This movement for a Warren–Washington County Animal Shelter would not exist without you.
Your compassion, your voices, and your courage to stand up for the voiceless are what give this mission life.

This Thanksgiving, I am profoundly grateful for:
🧡 Our nearly 2,000 pledge-signers who refuse to look away
🧡 Every neighbor who has stepped forward to protect the animals who need us most
🧡 The growing team of passionate community members ready to bring real change
🧡 The clients and patients who fill my days with purpose, joy, and connection
🧡 The animals — each one a reminder of why this fight matters so deeply

I am thankful every single day that I get to care for your pets, support your families, and stand alongside you in this work.
Your trust means the world to me, and your compassion fuels everything we are trying to build.

As we gather today with warmth and gratitude, let us also hold space for the animals who still need us — and know that together, we will create a safer, kinder future for them.

🧡🍂 Happy Thanksgiving to you and your loved ones.
May your day be filled with comfort, joy, and the quiet satisfaction of knowing you are part of something meaningful.

🚨 “We have nowhere to turn.” 🚨

(Warren County LEO, 8+ years experience)

“I can’t tell you how many times I’ve walked into abuse scenes with nowhere to bring a dog, let alone a cat.”

“The ONE kennel we’re allowed to use in Queensbury only holds a single dog — and it’s not even meant for abused animals.”

“For cats? We have nothing. I’ve literally had to bring a cat back to the Sheriff’s Office and let it sit in an office until we could find a family member.”

“Most nights we can’t get anyone to answer the phone. It’s hit or miss — even for hoarding cases.”

“I responded to a dog who was emaciated, flea-infested, overgrown nails — clearly abused. When I called for help, I was told I’d have to wait two days.”

“Two days.
What happens if the owner dumps the dog? We see that all the time — people dump the animal before charges can be filed.”

Law enforcement officials work domestic disputes, mental-health calls, severe neglect cases… and every time they have ask: Where do we bring the animal?
And the answer is always going to be uncertain. The left doesn’t know what the right is doing! The DA’s, ADA’s, County officials are unhelpful, and even worse possibly uncaring.

💔 This System Is Failing Everyone

🚫 Failing officers

🚫 Failing animals

🚫 Failing victims of domestic violence

🚫 Failing community safety

🚫 Failing every town in Warren & Washington County, and that’s a total of 28 towns worth of failure

Law enforcement is BEGGING for help so they can help animals.
They need a place to put abused animals so they are safe and plans can be made for their welfare. As it stands, the instructions your county officials might give you is, take them home, take them to a vet, but certainly they can’t instruct you to take them to a shelter that doesn’t exist!!

🆘 This shouldn’t be happening. And it doesn’t have to.

💚 Two Counties. One Mission.

WE MUST HAVE A SHELTER. There is a way. I know the way. They must open their minds, hearts and budgets.
I will keep at it, at them!

🎨 Cats Are Living Artwork 🐾💛

Every cat is a masterpiece — painted in colors, patterns, and details no artist could ever replicate.
Tabbies with swirling marbles, torties with their fiery mosaics, sleek panthers in miniature… each one a work of art.

And then there are the rare gems, like Phantom, white cat with two different-colored eyes — one blue, one gold-green 👁️💙✨👁️. A reminder that nature creates beauty in the most unexpected, breathtaking ways.

But behind that beauty… my heart sinks.
Because in our communities, cats have no true protections.
There is no town protocol for:
• when you find a cat 🐱❓
• when you need to safely surrender a cat 💔
• when law enforcement responds to cruelty or neglect cases 🚔🐾

There is no designated shelter, no structured pathway, and too often nowhere for these animals to go.
Cats — these living pieces of art — fall through the cracks every single day.

They deserve more.
They deserve safety.
They deserve a system that recognizes their value, their vulnerability, and their place in our lives.

Until that changes, we will continue to see cats suffer simply because there is no official space, no protocol, and no plan.
And that is something a civilized society should never accept. This should make you want to shout for them!

🐾 Every piece of art is worth preserving. Every cat is worth protecting.
