📢 CALLING FOR ALL PHOTOS + COURT REMINDER‼️

If you have any photos or videos of the Whitehall Route 4 property before the animals were seized — I need your help.
There’s worry there are more animals again there!
These images may help show the long-term conditions these animals were living in and could strengthen the case.

If you’re willing:

📩 Message me directly with:
• The photo(s) or video
• The date they were taken (as close as you can remember)
• Your name, and whether you’d be willing to state that you took them

I can’t promise every image will be admissible, but it is absolutely worth trying. Your documentation could matter.

🔔 Reminder:
The first court date in the Whitehall case is TOMORROW, November 10th at 2:00 PM at Whitehall Town Court.

Please don’t let this fade into the background.
Show up if you can. Speak up if you can’t. Share this so it reaches the people who were there, saw it, and recorded it.

The animals finally got out. Now they need us to finish what was started.
SIGN pledge SHARE 🚨‼️https://chng.it/kbL65KmPrX
Must get a shelter in place to prevent this endless barbarity.

Nystagmus, and vertigo are plain and simply awful for anyone! Poor Usagi’s world is spinning because he has a condition causing his eyes to move uncontrollably side to side. The result is a rabbit that doesn’t want to eat, drink and is unable to hop! The cause is often an infection, may be an unidentified disease, a parasite. We have a broad based treatment plan to help Usagi feel better.

🐾10 years of abuse– ENOUGH IS ENOUGH🐾

This is the face of survival — but behind his eyes is 10 years of suffering that never should have happened.

I recently learned that this German Shepherd’s abuse case in Whitehall wasn’t delayed by 400 days as I initially was informed by the Trooper. That’s just the time it took him to rescue this dog!🧐

For three years, a dedicated dog-control officer tried to get help. She took pictures, made reports, called for help from the local law enforcement. They didn’t act. They should be trained about animal abuse and should have proper channels to help them act! I love law enforcement. This is not their fault. This is totally because the county sets them up to be unprepared for these cases, which are happening more and more!🤬

🔥In those years of silence, this dog was beaten — hit with logs, neglected, and broken down emotionally.
He now lives in my home. He’s healing, slowly.
He adores me and my daughter — but he’s terrified of men. He’s bitten my husband multiple times out of fear, not aggression.
His anxiety runs deep. It’s what years of trauma look like.

But he’s safe now.
He’s learning trust.
He’s getting the medical care, patience, and love he always deserved.

This never should have taken three years of pleading for assistance!
This never should have been occurred in a county that claims to care about animal welfare.

If Warren and Washington Counties had a county-run animal shelter, this case would have been handled long ago, ideally when the first call 📞 was made.
A shelter gives law enforcement a place to bring victims — a place to start the healing the same day abuse is discovered, not years later.

The first court hearing is November 10 at 2 PM.
Please — keep paying attention.
Share this. Speak out. Don’t let this story fade into another statistic.
We owe it to every animal still waiting to be saved.

✅ “21 DOGS DEAD — MISDEMEANOR?”

🚨 NEWS UPDATE
21 dogs died at a Washington County boarding facility this summer, and the owners are facing only misdemeanor charges. This news hit the media. Where’s the outrage regarding legal action taken. What’s to stop the next greedy kennel from killing our dogs that have more worth than a non living object!!

The manner these dogs died was barbaric.
They were packed into too-small cages, with no water and no proper ventilation — left to panic, choke for air, and die of heat exhaustion.
This wasn’t an accident. It was greed. It was negligence. It was avoidable.

Nancy Quell, Washington County Dog Control Officer, has publicly challenged the lenient charges, calling for them to be upgraded to felonies.
She is absolutely right — because what happened at Anastasia’s Acres was not a “mistake.” It was the predictable outcome of over-crowding dogs for profit and ignoring every basic safety standard.

District Attorney Tony Jordan defended the misdemeanor decision, saying there was “no intent to kill.”
But when you knowingly trap living beings in an unventilated building in the summer, how much more “intent” do we need?

21 precious lives lost, heartbroken people — and still not one felony.
How can this be acceptable in 2025?

We need laws that actually protect animals.
We need the proposed Safe Pet Boarding Act to have teeth, not just promises.

📢 This is not justice.
It’s time for Washington County to demand better.

👉 CALL and EMAIL your representatives — tell them:
21 dogs died in agony, and a misdemeanor charge is not justice.
If we had a Warren and Washington County Shelter perhaps we would have more awareness about these matters.
👉‼️SIGN the pledge for a shelter, for animal welfare:

No more excuses.
No more loopholes.
No more mass suffering.

THE FACES OF ABUSE — from Warren and Washington Counties.
Every single one of these animals should have been protected by a shelter that does not exist. Instead, they landed on my exam table, in my arms, and in my care — because there was nowhere else for them to go.

I was forced to write veterinary abuse evaluations to defend the lives of the animals seized in the Whitehall case — animals who suffered long-term neglect, trauma, starvation, and fear. I should not be fighting this fight alone. No veterinarian should. No animal should have to wait for “luck” to survive.

A shelter should have been their safety net.
Instead, we have a system that collapses at the exact moment animals need it most.

I have told Senator Dan Stec’s office directly:
I should have state support in pressuring our towns and counties to do what is morally and legally right. We will not be silent. We will not accept excuses. We will not cave.
No more fiscal excuses. We can get federal and state funding.
These animals survived cruelty.
They should not have to survive the system as well.

👉 SIGN & SHARE to demand a Warren–Washington County animal shelter:
https://chng.it/kbL65KmPrX‼️

We are done waiting.
We are done begging.
We are done watching abuse repeat because there is no place for victims to go.

If our community can show up for these animals, then our leadership can too — and we will keep pushing until the shelter is built, the system is fixed, and no veterinarian, no trooper, and no Good Samaritan has to carry this burden alone.

For the animals.
For what is right.
We. Will. Not. Cave. 🐾♥️

😿I am absolutely angered seeing more animals die at the hands of an animal abuser!!! Once again Washington County is in the spotlight but not for a good reason and Whitehall, no doubt. 8 cats found dead, more possibly and some stuck hidden in the walls of a condemned house 🏚️
This is not some isolated case, no look at Zombie. She was brought to me because there was no shelter to turn to for the kind hearted people who found her. Zombie had been l scalped by a dog, presumably.
Because our counties have no shelter and no emergency placement system, no safety net, cats like Zombie can die painful deaths. Fortunately, Zombie landed with me for many months. I used a skin graft from her belly for her head wound. She now lives a wonderful life sporting a great mohawk🩺🐾
This type of thing is not a once in a while event! This horror took place in Washington County.
Recently, both (WNYT) and DA Tony Jordan (CBS6) publicly acknowledged the surge in animal abuse cases

Yet neither acknowledged the missing puzzle piece:
There is STILL no county shelter and STILL no emergency chain of action to protect abused, abandoned, or seized animals. How can we talk about the increase in cruelty, while ignoring the infrastructure needed to STOP it?
Meanwhile, our community is speaking loudly. We now have nearly 1,200 signed pledges demanding action. And I am so grateful — but we must keep going.

💔 This is not a third-world country. This is Whitehall, New York. 💔

These puppies — sleeping on rocks — are from a case that community members had been worried about and reporting for years. People begged for help. Nothing happened.

In that same case, so many animals waited over 400 days before action was finally taken.
400 days of suffering.
400 days with nowhere for law enforcement to bring them.
That’s when a trooper turned to me — not because I’m a shelter, but because our counties don’t HAVE one.

This is the failure.
This is the gap.
This is the crisis.

I am not a politician.
I am not an activist by nature.
I am a mom, and I am a veterinarian of 20+ years, and I have watched animals in Warren and Washington Counties suffer because there is no shelter, no process, and no plan. I have had enough.

We are now just shy of 1,000 pledge signatures, and in a couple of I would like to go before a board to ask for acknowledgment that this community deserves better. No more financial excuses. How about financial accountability!

👉 SIGN ‼️ https://chng.it/kbL65KmPrX
👉 CALL your local leaders and ask:
• “Where does a stray animal go today in our county?”
• “If there is abuse, where is that animal taken immediately for safety and care?”

If they cannot answer, the system has failed — and failed systems must be fixed, not excused.

Thank you to everyone who has signed, shared, and even gone door-to-door to gather pledges. You are giving these animals a voice.

Let’s hit 1,000 — for the puppies who slept on rocks, for the animals who waited 400 days, and for every life that deserves better. 🐾
