Squinting eyes, 👀 goop, puffy cheek.
One look and Tabitha, LVT, knew. Dry eyes are causing pain, inflammation and yellow discharge. Imagine blinking without tears., like sand in your eyes all the time. Special moisturizing drops will soothe her, antibiotics will clear the resulting infection and inflammation, and specifically ordered eye drops will be used in attempt to have her body produce tears. If that weren’t enough, she has a tooth root infection which resulted in a fluid filled pocket of pus beneath her left eye. She needed to have the infected tooth pulled. Healing is on the way❤️‍🩹🦷👀

Why get one when you can get two?
Two puppies does make sense because they play and entertain one another, however, two means two times the medical expenses, general health expenses. Before you get bitten by the impulse bug, make sure you will be able to provide in all ways needed to keep them mentally and physically well🐶♥️🐾

Brave. That’s not just his name. Brave is the way he handled his sickness. He presented with very vague, unrelenting symptoms. He was very lethargic. He was lacking appetite. He was vomiting. His blood tests and X-rays looked like that of a dog with kidney failure. He’s barely beyond being a puppy. So….
He got weaker and finally with trembling legs tried to show his bravery. He could no longer muster any strength. His kidneys bounced back but he then developed abnormal electrolytes, potassium and sodium.
Addison’s disease hit him hard. A single dose of a potent intravenous steroid, one hour later he was able to lift his handsome face, two hours later he was up to visit his two favorite people♥️🐾🩺

Enzo has matured into an 8 month old hunk. Today we talked about that dreaded male dog task of neutering. When to neuter has become a big discussion in the vet world . The general medical rule of thumb now is to wait until they reach physical maturity so we can decrease risk of orthopedic issues developing.
The male hormone, testosterone, makes the males look muscular and it’s this added muscle that supports healthy joints. The time we break this suggestion is when naughty behavior begins due to that testosterone:aggression, running away, risk of causing an unwanted pregnancy. 🐾
