Dogs In Brazil - USA Supporting efforts of Dogs In Brazil raising awareness, fund raising, administration, and helping adoptions. All funds received go to Dogs In Brazil.

Follow our journey where we dramatically changed our lives to help rescued Brazilian street dogs. Surely there will be lots of funny, happy, sad, frustrating and everything in between moments. But we are learning as we go from those who inspired us and meet along the way. All in hopes of making a difference one dog at a time. We are the 501(c)3 USA affiliate to Dogs In Brazil (located in Teresopol

is, Brazil). We bring DIB dogs to our facility (named Dogland Ranch) in hopes of increasing their chance to be adopted. Also continuing support to Jan & Carlos Cabral through admin, fundraising, and marketing efforts. US donations are tax deductible and receipts are provided.

TikTok is down and this will negatively affect so many rescues (big or small, but especially the small ones). TikTok was a great way to get the word out about animals in need. Tragedies, success stories, adoptions and fundraising.

Small organizations don’t have the marketing budget or even time to make high end campaigns that can reach the audience like TikTok has. I have been reading a lot of negative comments on social media saying “we should get outside” and “get over it”. Let’s stay positive and supportive.

Please find all your favorite organizations thru their other platforms, websites and stay connected. The animals need us. Every life matters.

Hopefully the ban is temporary. But if it’s not, the mission will still continue.

Happy New Year!

The girls are cuddled up for a cold night as temps continue to drop for the next cold spell. Picked up Brogie’s ashes today. Glad our girl is home.

Once again Loyal Companion Pet Cremation has helped us bring some closure to our loss. We are so fortunate to have them near us to honor all who cross the bridge here.

With very heavy hearts, we had to let Brogie go after a poultry vet examined her this morning. It could be more than just being egg bound but she was very weak and in pain. Surgery would have been needed as the egg was too far inside.

We thought she was doing a little better from a demeanor perspective but the vent was not improving. She ate this morning and we had cuddles where I preened her feathers before going to the vet.

Brogie was my girl. Always happy to see me and wanted to be held. Will miss her dearly. Fly free, Brogie

Poor Brogie, she appears to have a pr*****ed vent and possible other ailments. Giving her some TLC and medical support in hopes she rebounds. It’s been a tough year for the flock. First with the super hot summer and the. Temp fluctuations this fall causing molting at odd times. And now this.

In celebration of International Cat Day, want to post about Albi available for adoption. He’s recovering from neuter surgery. Fully vaccinated and microchipped. He’s a love bug, playful and enjoys cuddles. 16wk old male DSH buff color. Albi is part of a feral cat litter found under a shed near the farm. He’s been with us six weeks and has come a long way from stranger danger to enjoying being held by humans. We are so proud of him. DM if interested in learning more about Albi.

Chip hung out with me in the garden this weekend. He’s so cute. Then he wanted a snack. #gardenbuddy

Chip Update We have been working with Chip for several months with human contact to eventually hold him. Being so scared, placing him in a trap to vaccinate him would set him back. We wanted to ensure he would be comfortable and minimize his stress. Dr Trevor messages when he was close so Anter held him ahead of time. And Chip received his vaccinations with minimal stress. We were all surprised he didn’t run off afterward. Can’t express how happy we all were. Chip showed up for dinner on time and interested in pets and brushing. We are so proud of you Chip!! #rescuecats #feralcat #makingprogress #buildingconfidence
