Hey Midwest friends let me show you how easy it is to garden in sub zero temps.Don’t be intimidated by all these vertical towers. We honestly started with 1 just 12 years ago. With no intention of having now 24 at a farm size which just happened in the past 2 years. We wanted even more variety for ourselves and limiting grocery store trips. Now we supply some of the locals with fresh greens and haven’t purchased lettuces and herbs in years. On top of that things like cruciferous dark leafy greens that pack a punch like your kales, arugula, bok choy, sorrel, and chard. Sooo many amazing health benefits. If your spending $20 a week on unknown leafy greens and want to uplevel your health. One of these are for you. 🤎Tell me what would be the first leafy green you would grow? 🌱🥬..Send to someone who wants their garden salad back!Follow @littlesproutsfarmmn for more local greens, recipes for the fresh stuff, and how to grow year round in the frigid temps of the Midwest - zone 4 🌱🤎..#towergardenofficial #easygardening #aeroponicgardrening #easygardeningtips #homeschoolfamily #healthysummerrecipes #healthysummer #gardeninghacks #seedlingtips #pregnancyhealth #pregnancyhealthyeating #pregnancyhealthtips #midwestgardening #midwestgarden #gardenallyear #gardeninwinter #wintergardening #midwestliving

Sold out for the week friends!
How we clean and you can clean your aeroponic gardens. 🌱
FYI we like to take them down completely 2x a year and do a deep clean. Otherwise we do a light clean every 3-4 weeks as our plants are replaced.
Supplies 👇🧼
🧼citric acid (totally food grade and safe to handle)
🧼hot water
🧼bucket
🧼sturdy bristle bottle brushes
🧼old sheets to cover sister towers or things we don’t want to get wet
🧼shop vac to use when replacing water
Simply get after it give it a good quick scrub down and your on your way to replanting. I used to hate cleaning them and getting into routine and using the citric acid makes it go so much smoother.

Why we started vertical farming…
Have you ever tried “Sorrel”? It’s one of Rolling Forks Vineyards favorites to order to add to their fresh salads. It packs a lemony flavor and ohhhh so good for you! Heart health: Sorrel contains potassium, which can help lower blood pressure, and may also reduce the risk of heart disease by lowering cholesterol and triglycerides. Go head over and get a fresh salad or if you’re a fellow grower you need to start growing.
