One thing we love to do is spoil our shelter animals. Princess, Raggedy Ann, loves being pampered and getting carried outside via her throne (her fluffy dog bed). How cute is she?
What do you do to spoil your furry friends?

Meet Moana, a malnourished dog brought to us clearly starving for food and medical care, but is full of love.
On August 12th, we were contacted by local law enforcement about a community member who found a severely malnourished dog near Brooten, MN to see if we could help. We barely recognized Moana from months before when she was picked up and brought to us as a stray dog before someone came to claim her. Then, she was normal weight and a normal dog.
Moana is a 2 year-old Pitbull mix who is supposed to weigh 50 lbs. We brought her to Glacial Ridge Veterinary Clinic to start the process of getting her fully assessed and on the road to recovery. Moana came in at a measly 29.3 lbs. and is now on a special diet to help her gain weight back in a safe way while we wait for her testing to see what other treatments and care she may need. Moana is also very weak and unsteady due to her body starting to eat at her muscles to try to survive.
Despite the terrible struggle Moana has been through, she is full of love to give. Moana has been a happy and loving dog since being with us. Her tail is always wagging, and she loves to give kisses. Despite her being weak and unsteady, she loves toys and playing when she can (especially fetch). If you lay down next to her, she will lay right on top of you.
While we are sad about what Moana went through, we are grateful that her path led her back to us. She is in good hands now and will get all the love and help she needs on her long road to recovery. We are still in need of fosters OR foster-to-adopt families for 10 puppies. They are Shepard/pittie/lab mixes. They are around 2.5-3 months old.
We will provide all supplies needed for their care and any vetting needs while you provide a loving home. Foster family will need to have availability to bring in for vetting and adoption appointments, which we will coordinate with your schedule. If you have any questions about fostering, please send us a message.
If you are interested in fostering, please fill out our foster application below:
