Our litter of five pups are doing well this morning.Mama Chica letting us handle each pup and has let Dad smell them. These pups are going to be so well socialized! Looking for a theme to name these cuties- they are all boys💙💙💙💙💙

We were blessed with the opportunity to get some feral kitties spayed neutered and vaccinated...

Daniel is on his way to Tucson with 16 kitties in tow...
Special thanks to Daniel, Briana Beck, Dennis & Gina Wiley, Lois ... Team High Desert will continue to find ways to help our community with our feral and companion cats... 250 cats fixed this year... thank you to everyone in the community who has stood by us, thank you for your patience, thank you for your love and support... when a door opens we do our very best to make it happen...

Mac is still looking for his furever home. He is a one year old pitbull and the sweetest boy you will ever meet. He has a hurt paw which has been treated but will be permanently crooked. This does not affect his ability to play, walk or run. He is the most loveable dog you will ever meet. He gets along well with other dogs but would need to be fed separately as he does get territorial with his food when other dogs are near.

This sweet Mama was found wandering Paxton road last night. We asked neighbors but nobody was familiar with her. She was hungry and we brought her to the shelter for safety but she probably has pups that need her. If she is yours, I am sure she would rather be home.

This is Sebastian. He is about 3-4 months old He is part of the same litter as Charlie and Scooter. He is shy but if you have patience he turns into the sweetest snugglebug. He would be a great companion for someone who wants a lapdog. Come see him at our Shelter, or you may see him at our thrift shop soon.

Have you met our sweet Lyla yet? She spent a week at the thrift shop and she was such a good dog. Yeah she did bark when the door opened but that was just to let us know someone was coming in. She loves getting attention and is very good playing with other dogs. She isn't at the thrift shop this week. She's back at the shelter, but you can go and meet her during our open hours Tuesday through Saturday 10AM to 3PM.

The High Desert Humane Society cat rescue would love to shout out a HUGE thank you to Briana Beck for once again saving the day ... We had a Spay and Neuter Clinic for TNR yesterday the day before we went out and set traps... and were unfortunately unable to catch any kitties ... we do not like to cancel appointments... Daniel reached out to Briana and she came through with 14 feral kitties... he was able to get 16 to Tucson to be spayed and neutered... we are up to 206 cats fixed this year so far and it's only March... we have nine newborn kittens downstairs. Five upstairs that we are bottle feeding... kitten season is in full swing... TNR works...

At the High Desert Humane Society cat rescue, we are thrilled to share the success story of two little kitties who have flourished under our care. Thanks to Daniel's exceptional socialization skills, these kittens have transformed from timid and fearful to confident and playful. Despite their initial feral nature, they have learned to trust and love their human companions. Temper is still a little rough around the edges and there's still more to be done with these two cuties... but It's heartwarming to see the transformation that love and care can bring about in these precious animals.

Thank you Joseph, Dawn and their beautiful friend for dropping in to say hi all the way from Tucson... Great seeing you!!! Safe travels ❤️

Greetings from the kitties at the High Desert Humane Society cat rescue... Tantrum is now playing with toys... It's amazing what love and compassion can do... Temper and his brother Tantrum were trapped in our TNR traps... and these little guys were very feral... but they were so little we decided to keep them ... these little guys have made it a long way... thank you Daniel for your hard work, love and dedication... TNR/SPAY/NEUTER IT WORKS!!!

Once upon a time there was a cat named Dewey he was my roof cat at the High Desert Humane Society cat rescue every morning he came for his breakfast!!! In the snowy weather I would put towels out so he wouldn't get his feet cold while he ate... I have cared for him for about a year... I had tried to trap him several times... Then... While trying to trap someone's cat that got loose... I accidentally trapped Mr Dewey and we took him in and got him fixed. I was so happy to have him off the streets... I would worry about him getting hit by cars or eaten by Coyotes or birds finally I had him safe... I knew in my heart that this was no feral cat... Somebody had dumped him and he just acclimated to outside living... Dewey had only been neutered for about a week when a gentleman walked through the door looking to adopt a cat... Dewey was in the first enclosure... before looking at any other kitties he stops at Dewey's and says what about this one... I explained the situation of how he'd been outside and proceeded to tell his story... Without hesitation he decided to take him home... His name is Hondo now and he got his new beginning... they have adopted 3 kitties from us two of which were outside cats... an awesome happy ending and new beginning... it's moments like this that makes it all worth it I love happy endings!!! Thank you Howell and Yvonne!!!
