Hello, everyone! Today, we want to introduce you to Augusta, a gorgeous female Belgian Shepherd Mix who was kindly rescued by a Good Samaritan passing through town. This wonderful person stopped to help Augusta and brought her to our facility for care.

We scanned Augusta for a microchip, but unfortunately, none was found. If you recognize Augusta or know where she lives, please give us a call so we can reunite her with her family!

We have another update! These two lovable animals have been transferred to the Arizona Animal Welfare League, where they will soon be up for adoption. We love sharing updates about the animals in our care, and today, we have a truly special story to tell.
For several months, we received numerous reports about a black-and-white lab mix we named Connie. She was often seen near Connieโ€™s Bridge and down by the Pepsi plant, but every time one of our Animal Care and Control officers arrived to help, Connie would run away.
Finally, during a routine patrol in July, one of our officers spotted Connie again. A trap was set up, and we had her safe and sound within minutes. When Connie first came to us, she was very skittish and shy. It took weeks of patience and care, but thanks to the dedication of our Kennel Tech, Tina Cummings, Connie slowly began to trust us. Tina was the first to touch and handle Connie, and from that moment on, she became a different dogโ€”friendly, affectionate, and full of life.
Today, we are thrilled to share that Connie has been transferred to our partner, Arizona Animal Welfare League, for adoption. We are so proud of her progress and want to thank Tina and all our staff members who worked tirelessly to help Connie become the lovable dog she is now.

We have an incredible update to share! Thanks to all of your shares on Facebook, someone recognized Roosevelt and was able to call his owner. We're thrilled to announce that Roosevelt is now back home where he belongs! ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿก

Roosevelt had run off after getting scared during the fire in Roosevelt. His owner is overjoyed to have him back and mentioned that his kids will be very happy to see him too. This heartwarming reunion wouldn't have been possible without your support and shares.

Our dedicated staff loves seeing the smiles on the faces of reunited owners and, of course, the happy animals. Please remember to license and microchip your pets; itโ€™s the best way to ensure they can get back to you quickly if they ever get lost.

This little brindle male hound mix was found running on Hwy 88 and Wheatfields Road. When he came to us, he wasnโ€™t feeling well at all. But thanks to our dedicated staff here at Gila County Animal Care and Control, we were able to nurse him back to health. Now, heโ€™s looking for his home!

If you know where he belongs, please call us so we can reunite him with his family.
Once again, we urge everyone to microchip and license their pets to ensure their safety. Arizona state law requires all dogs over 3 months old to be vaccinated for rabies and licensed in the county you live in. And donโ€™t forget to attach the tag to your petโ€™s collar.
