This crew rocks!
It’s the Sunday before Christmas and we are happily loading hay in the hay trailer. This crew is the reason we exist and work so hard.
Of course our farm friends were happy to see the food truck show up to drop off their delivery!

With so many of our Rusty Buckle friends asking if we would consider getting back into the carriage and hay ride business and with our own personal love for draft horses we would love to introduce you to some recent newcomers!
Queen and Lady are Mother and Daughter Percheron team that are joining our farm!
Hades is a gorgeous Clydesdale cross that is very proud of his driving skills.
We will keep everyone updated with future carriage and hay ride events.
We are excited with bookings for some home owner’s associations for next season already!

Join us for giving Tuesday!
We have been so blessed to have had a season filled with joy and sharing our love for our farm with visitors!
The mission of our nonprofit is to give our farm animals a beautiful life on our farm. A place they can be safe, happy and loved! A life filled with proper care, enrichment and so much more.
We have dedicated our service to spread knowledge and hands on interaction with our farm ambassadors to the public. Our farm ambassadors can be spotted out any day of the week at group homes, nursing homes, child care facilities, education centers and more.
Jimmie and Ellie (our mini highland cow and mini horse) will be out and about over the course of the next week delivering winter hats and gloves to childcare centers, schools and assisted living facilities.
Donations can be made by drop off( please send a message or comment to ensure we are on farm at time of drop off) or can make monetary donations via link.

Meet Moo! Isn’t he cute!!!
Such a sweet Highland steere!!
We are going to ask for a quick favor!
We would love for some Facebook and google reviews! We love doing what we do! Today we had a small frustration!
We were in and out today getting barn chores done and preparing for all the upcoming cold weather! Moving animals, preparing paddocks, moving equipment, water heaters, cleaning out trailers and trucks. You know all the fun stuff!
While running to pick up a few things from the local hardware store a “visitor” stopped in and took it upon himself to tour around. When I arrived I said hello and let him know we are not open today as we were doing some farm prep. He said he didn’t locate open hours anywhere and stopped in. I let him know he can follow here and we post them and they are changing as we have a lot of factors play into on farm visiting hours. I let him know he could visit with his daughter for a minute as we unfortunately would have to be headed back to work, daylight is short this time of year! Unfortunately this gentleman had two large dogs that did not seem happy with seeing livestock out of the car window and barked uncontrollably. We did have to let him know we would have to ask him to leave as the dogs could not stay. He didn’t seem happy with that. He did leave but in turn decided to leave us a 2 star negative review on google.
We hate disappointing anyone but unfortunately can not accommodate everyone. We truly do our best.
We ask that if possible our Rusty Buckle friends and family could leave us reviews for the experiences we have been able to provide for you!

It’s that time of year. Working well into the dark. But all worth it.

We are feeling so blessed!
Our fall and winter season is booking up quick.
Yes! We do events throughout the winter!
Your littles will be happy and warm snuggling our fuzzy mini horses and mini highland cow!
Message to reserve our petting zoo for your next event!
Jimmie (highland cow), Siggy (mini donkey) and Ellie (mini horse) will be collecting gloves and hats for kids and the elderly!
We will post pop up collection hours.
Our furry farm friends will be doing drop offs to local schools and senior centers.
If you know a school or group in need let us know. We would love to help!!!

We were so happy to visit Wakefield Hills Elementary school in West Warwick today!
We heard a class had a stuffed Highland Cow as their class pet. The kids are able to take Hank (their stuffed Highland) home on the weekends and share the adventures they take him on. It was so exciting to see their reactions when Jimmie came to visit!
We love doing this!
As a nonprofit we use donations to be able to provide experiences like this! These kids will remember the day a real life Highland Cow came to school to visit them. This may seem little but can mean the world. The smile on the faces of kids and staff made our day!

We are thinking of putting together a Rusty Buckle Calendar. These would be sold as a fundraiser toward rescuing, rehabilitation and bringing our farm ambassadors to group homes, schools, and assisted living facilities at no cost to the residents at those facilities.
