Betty is still waiting for a home of her own. There must be someone out there who is just for her. She is 1 year old and now weighs 41 pounds. She does need to be the only dog in the home and has not been around cats. She is working on her leash skills and likes people. This is Zuko, he is 4.5 years old and neutered. Owner says he is good with other dogs as well as cats and currently lives with 2 small children. Zuko has seizures and his medications are no longer working. He needs to be vetted again for stronger meds.

Betty is in RI and looking for a forever home where she will be the only dog in the home. She was adopted but she was not getting along with the dog in the home. She will guard her toys and food from other dogs. She is 1 year old and weighs 34 pounds. She is a beagle mix. She is crate trained and doing great on her house training skills. Arlo is boarding with us and adoptable through Small Dog Rescue of NE.

Arlo is such a great dog and we know someone out there is right now thinking about getting a new family member and we hope they see Arlo and say there he is! He is here in RI. Arlo was adopted but it didn’t work out with there being other dogs in the home even though he lived with other dogs in TX well. We are looking for a home where he will be the only dog. Arlo doesn’t like to share his food and we think it was because he didn’t always get to eat on a regular basis before he came into rescue. He is 3 years old and weighs around 34 pounds now. From the rescue..
Paige (a Redbone Coonhound mix) has been with the rescue for a while! It’s not because she doesn’t deserve a home but because she lacks shares. Maybe Paige can get a forever home in time for Christmas!!!

Paige is 3:5 years old and fully vetted/healthy. She is INCREDIBLY smart! She picks up on training quickly and is eager to learn. She will need ongoing training, as she does have a habit of jumping up at folks. True to her breed, Paige is very observant and notices everything.. and she will let you know! She is super food motivated and would do well with nose work and regular training. She definitely needs to be able to use her brain! Paige is fantastic on leash-- though, she can be very barky and reactive towards other dogs, but will settle down.

Paige would make an excellent hiking partner and would do best in an active home. She has gone on many field trips to Heritage and Pulaski Park. She absolutely LOVES the water and wants to be shoulders deep in it! 😄

Our volunteer, Donna, has taken Paige home several times and cannot say enough about her! She's even met Donna's 92 year old mother and was a very polite gal.

Paige is a great dog who needs someone to give her a chance and set clear boundaries with her. She is a working dog breed and needs to be able to use her brain to be a happy gal.

Plus she looks super cute in her Jammies!

Happy Thanksgiving! We have so much to be thankful for this year. We are grateful for our amazing supporters, friends and family. Without you, we would not be here today. We are also thankful for an unexpected gift; our senior pitbull Tiana, got to go to her forever home in NH with a senior gentleman in need of a friend. Look at the smiles! This is why we do what we do. Enjoy the holiday season, and we do have some availability for boarding for your furry friends.. as always we will treat them as our own!

Paige is a 3 year old Redbone Coonhound mix. She and her puppies were rescued from the south and transported to RI. All of her puppies have found their forever homes, but Paige is still on her quest for the perfect match! Paige has been in a few homes, but they didn't quite work out. She needs to be the ONLY animal in a dog savvy household-- no dogs, no cats, and no small animals, as she does have a prey drive. Paige did live with a 10 year old boy, but shouldn't live with anyone younger than that, as she a rough and tumble gal.
