HOT CARS KILL!!!!!!
Please do not leave your animals in the car! The temperature inside your car gets so incredibly hot within minutes! They are much happier at home in the air conditioning! 🐾🐶🐱🐾

North Shore Veterinary Hospital is seeking an experienced veterinary technician/receptionist to join our team Full or Part Time. Our staff is committed to providing the highest quality medical care for our patients, in a fun and fast-paced environment. Our hospital is a privately owned small/companion animal hospital in Gloucester, MA, a beautiful seaside community north of Boston.

Duties may include:

Support and assist veterinarians to ensure quality care and maintain timely patient flow throughout the day

IV catheter placement, venipuncture, IV, IM, SQ injections

Anesthesia induction and monitoring

Preparing blood, urine, f***l, etc samples for laboratory collection

Perform diagnostic laboratory tests using in-house equipment

Assist with radiographs

Medication and vaccination preparation and administration

Effective communication skills for use in obtaining patient history and setting up for appointments for doctors

Animal restraint

Reception duties - answer phones, make appointments, scheduling procedures

Invoicing charges for appointments and checking out clients

Clinic maintenance- general cleaning, cleaning and maintenance of exam rooms between appointments, restocking, cleaning and sterilization of surgical equipment

Must be available on Saturdays

Technician Requirements:

Excellent knowledge of computers/database software

Ability to bend and lift at least 50lbs

Good communication skills

Preferred credentials:

2 or 4 year degree in AVMA approved technician program

CVT license
