Ever wondered what a Poodle Pit looks like? Well, meet Kodak. Young (about 1 year old) male Poodle Pit. He was scared when he went to the shelter and came to rescue but he has blossomed in foster. He loves to play with other dogs, has been a well behaved boy and is a sweet boy. He weighs about 40ish pounds and is scheduled for neuter in January. If interested in Kodak please fill out an adoption application on our website critters4urescueinc.org

Edward - a 1 year old Poodle mix ( last of the recent cruelty case we took in) is now ready for adoption. He came to rescue scared of being touched, matted, and bad ear infections. He is now cleared for adoption and learning how to play with toys. He has been learning how to snuggle, sleep in a bed and be a spoiled pup. This tiny boy- about 8ish pounds loves to wear clothes and will give kisses. He did pretty good at the groomer once he realized he wasnt going to be hurt. If interested please fill out an adoption application on our website critters4urescueinc.org

We are excited to introduce you to Noel and Saint Nicholas, affectionately known as “Nick.” These wonderful dogs came to us from the Eastern Shore,. This year alone, we have rescued over 70 dogs from this shelter.

Noel and Nick were surrendered by their previous owner, and we estimate their ages to be between 3 and 5 years. We’ve received a fantastic response about them, and as we continue to learn more about their unique personalities, we can say they are adjusting well in their foster home and are currently in the process of decompressing.

Both dogs are low-energy Golden Retrievers who enjoy lounging on the couch and relishing belly rubs. They love being close to their humans and are crate trained. While Nick can be somewhat vocal in his crate, especially when he knows someone is nearby, Noel remains calm and quiet. As a fun note, they may have indulged in a few too many Christmas cookies, so they could benefit from shedding a few pounds in the new year. Additionally, we have an upcoming spay and neuter appointment scheduled for the beginning of the year.

In terms of potty training, they have shown great accountability. Our Christmas wish is to keep them together, as we believe they thrive in each other's company. However, we understand the current economic climate may make this challenging. They would, of course, be fine on their own as well.

They are currently adjusting to the presence of other dogs in their foster home and are a bit cautious during introductions. Since it’s only been a couple of days, we recommend a slow and patient approach if you have other dogs at home.

If you are interested in adopting one or both of these lovely dogs, we would be thrilled to discuss it further with you! Our website for applications is critters4urescueinc.org

Bellatrix is one of the kittens in rescue who will benefit from our Giving Tuesday Fundraiser. She came in with an anomaly of her front foot where it was swollen and one of the toes kept opening and bleeding despite veterinary care. The goal was to get her to 3-4 pounds ( she currently weighs about 2 pounds) however, the foot was getting bigger and bigger and bleeding more and more. To the point her blood count was at 15. This meant she couldn’t wait any longer for surgery and she had to get the toe removed. Bellatrix came thru surgery and the surgery went well. She will remain in the hospital for a few days to receive medical care for the anemia, pain meds, etc. Please consider donating for our Giving Tuesday Fundraiser to help us continue to save the special needs
