Autumn, our Anotolian Shepherd Pug Mix girl was used for breeding and her previous owner failed to give her proper medical care. She is Heartworm Positive, Erlichia Positive, as well as she is anemic, so she needed to go to the wonderful Staff at Hilton Animal Hospital. She got more bloodwork, xrays, etc to prepare her for Heartworm Treatment. Autumn will take Doxycyline for 30’days first before starting the painful injections to treat heartworms.
Heartworms are very easily prevented by giving your pet an inexpensive preventstive pill monthly. Treatment for Heartworms is very costly and is painful for dogs.
Erlichia is caused by ticks. Which is also easily preventable.

Please help us get Autumn treated for Heartworms and Erlichia.

When we are asked to take 2 Lab Mix babies that are being surrendered to an over capacity shelter- what do we do?

Autumn and Foxie have been dropped off for their spay surgery, bloodwork, and vaccines today. They were not very happy for the early morning wake up/ride and no breakfast. But this is an important step for their health, keeping overpopulation down, and to find their forever homes

Buster our hospice boy who has a severe heart disease and perineal hernia, says that if its cool enough that he needs his sweatshirt- then its time to start practicing for Halloween .
We may be a bit biased- but Buster is the cutest cowboy.

Nutmeg our brave puppy with a broken leg is inspiring us all to rally together in this incredible fundraiser. We have this stunning handmade Halloween Wreathe and Blanket/toy that we will be selling tickets for. Tickets will be $5 for 1 ticket or 5 tickets for $20. Drawing will be done October 17. Please share with everybody so that we can raise vital funds for Nutmeg's care and help him heal from his broken leg.

Within a couple hours of the 4 lab mix babies coming to rescue we noticed Nutmeg doing some intermittent toe touching and limping on back leg, so Nutmeg went to get xrays. The result- 2 week femur break.
We are working closely with the shelter while they pursue cruelty charges on the previous owner of the pups. Nutmeg has had to suffer with his broken leg for 2 weeks without any medical care or pain meds. Nutmeg is now on pain meds, strict crate rest, and frequent dr visits while his leg heals. Vet is hopeful that as long as the bones stay in alignment that Nutmeg wont need surgery.
Please help us raise funds for this very unexpected medical case.

UPDATE- VANILLA, PEPPER, AND WASABI HAVE APPLICATIONS/DEPOSITS

Lab Lovers? Well look no further- , Nutmeg, Pepper, Vanilla, and Wasabi are here. These 10 week old Lab Mix ( Lab Shepherd) babies are a perfect mixture of playfullness and cuddly. They are showing how smart they are already by picking up potty training in just 24 hours. They have been socialized around dogs, cats, snd children. They have age appropriate medical care done and have done great with baths and nail trims. They are being fostered in Hampton. Many of you might remember Phoenix- she is Dusty Rose sister and the last of the ACO case dogs who came to us early in the year. Phoenix is now happily enjoying her life in her forever home with a doggy brother.
