Meet Carole & Nettie 💕

Carol had always opened her heart to rescue animals, but after her last dog passed away, she decided she would not adopt again. Her children, however, had other plans. They surprised her with Nettie, a spirited puppy who filled her days with joy (and mischief).

Keeping up with Nettie's energy became a bit of a challenge so Carol reached out to STAY Pet Services for support. STAY arranged for volunteers to walk Nettie so she could get the exercise she needed.

Nettie now receives multiple walks each week with STAY volunteers, helping to alleviate the physical demands of exercising Nettie, and also providing a sense of community and support. Carol quickly formed a strong bond with the volunteers, who not only understand Nettie's needs but share Carol's passion for animals.

For Carol, the assistance from the volunteers is more than just practical help; it is the extra support she needs to maintain a happy and healthy relationship with her devoted companion. Nettie, in turn, adores the volunteers who shower her with attention and love. Her tail wags furiously and she jumps around with excitement whenever the volunteers arrive!

Shay’s owner was hospitalized unexpectedly and did not have anyone to look after Shay.
Thankfully, STAY volunteers were able to step in for daily feeding, playing, and scooping litter. Shay has been very welcoming and her owner is so thankful to have this support as she focuses on her own health.

✨🐾 Gratitude Alert! 🐾✨

SeniorCare and STAY Pet Services is beyond grateful for the grant we received from EBSCO! This funding made it possible for us to cover a vet visit for Rocco, a kitty who had been losing weight and needed medical attention.

With EBSCO's support, Rocco received the care he needed, including medication that has helped him feel better and gain back his weight. 🐱💪

This is Nettie. She has A LOT of energy. Her owner needed assistance with weekly walks. Unfortunately, dog walks can be very costly. Nettie's owner reached out to STAY Pet Services and now receives supplemental walks at an affordable price. Now Nettie and her owner look forward to weekly walks with their STAY volunteer!

Important Change!
MassHealth has updated its eligibility guidelines for the Medicare Savings Program (MSP). Previously, there was an asset limit that could impact a Medicare member’s MSP eligibility. As of March 1, 2024, MassHealth removed the asset limit. This change will allow more residents to take advantage of benefits and save money on health care costs.
