Some of you might have already seen the name change. But after several years I finally took the leap to make this a licensed business and I decided it was also time to rebrand!
Now introducing Kelsie’s Kritters!
I cannot wait to see where things go and I hope to see some familiar faces sticking around ❤️
With that being said bare with me as I try and change the name everywhere on the page. I am still a stay at home mom so things might not get done right away 😁

Hi there everyone!
It is with a heavy heart that I have decided to take a step back from breeding for an unknown period of time..
Back before Covid it was different, but since then I have struggled over and over to get back into breeding whether it was my lack of personal motivation or the rats I was breeding with.
I have been putting way too much pressure on myself over the past few years looking at my half empty cages that I realized it wasn’t doing myself or my family any good.
I am not saying I quit forever and I might have a litter or two very rarely because I will always keep personal rats. But I will always keep the page up and accessible in case anyone needs advice or possibly directions on where to get pet rats from around here!
Thank you all for the support over the years and I couldn’t have made it as far as I did without you all!
Just for reference on a few homes my ratties have went to thanks to the support of you guys!
I’ve had a single rat who couldn’t be housed with other rats go to live on a college campus to be an emotional support pet and even attended some classes!
Some of them have went on to be class pets. But my personal favorite is I had 3 boys make their home at Grants Farm as part of their educational program!
I am happy how far I was able to take my hobby but it’s time for bigger and better things for me and my little family. ❤️

They are just babies right now but these are some of the future breeders for my new lines that will hopefully be paired in early spring ❤️
The parents of all these babies are so sweet and chunky. I can’t wait to see what the future holds with these guys and gals!

I am happy to announce that I recently brought 3 rats home that will be the start of my new lines!
I will also be bringing more in very soon once they are weaned. With that being said I’m hoping to finally have my first litters in mid to late spring! 😊❤️

We are in the works of trying to get some new ratties soon. Due to age and not reproducing I have gotten down to only 4 rats.

Hi there everyone! We are still here but taking things slow. We welcomed our 3rd and FINAL baby just 3 weeks ago and have been adjusting to our new addition.
I have made a handful of pairings with the ratties I still have in hopes for some babies soon!
I can’t wait to see where things go from here. Being pregnant I wasn’t able to handle my rats without being gloved up and it made me lose the connection with my rats. Now that I shouldn’t ever have that barrier again I feel like things can finally be on the up and up!!

Hello everyone! I know I’ve been super absent on the page but life has just been busy.
I decided that for the time being I’m going to take a step back from breeding. I’ve been having a difficult time with pairings and the extra time as it is and we are going to be bringing our 3rd baby into the world just next month!
I will be keeping a few ratties as pets for myself and my family but will be rehoming the rest, mostly females.
Once things have settled back down at home and we are on a better schedule I hope to start back up I just have no idea when that might be!
I appreciate everyone who has given my ratties homes over the years!

Hello! We are still kicking. I do this all myself as well as taking care of our 2 kiddos, my other critters and being pregnant with our 3rd baby.
So making some pairings has been on the end of my list!
I will do my best to make a handful of pairings very soon in hopes that a couple take.

I know I haven’t posted in a while and that’s because there hasn’t been much to post about!
Things have been super slow. But if all goes as planned we will be vending our first show in a while next month!!
I might have some ratties available then but it will mostly be hammocks.

Things have been pretty busy here!
I’ll try getting some pictures of the litters soon. I have been trying to move around our basement to make things more functional and also make me a crafting space so I can start making hammocks again!!! I am glad to say I have new supplies including a NEW sewing machine ❤️
I am very excited to get back into the swing of things after my area is put together.
Some of these babies have seemed a little more reserved so those ones might not be placed at all or placed with experienced homes willing to work with them! They’re not aggressive by any means just need a little extra love.

I have 4 males looking for new homes!!
The two blue boys I bred myself and are both dumbo powder blue with bristle fur.
The albinos are both dumbo and have smaller eyes than average. I rescued them but are the sweetest things! They are the first at the cage door and always ready to play, they also love giving kisses 🥰
I would love to keep them in pairs as they are 2 sets of brothers but would love even more if they went all together as they’ve been cage mates for months now.
Blue boys were born in October and I believe the albino boys are a little younger than that.
$30 for each pair or $50 for all 4!
