An estimated 60-90% of performance horses are affected from ulcers. This comes from their workload and stress.

Some of the most common signs of ulcers are:
-Poor Appetite -Weight Loss
-Poor Body Condition -Poor Coat Condition
-Colic Like Symptoms -Behavior Change
-Girth Sensitivity -Poor Performance

All these symptoms can be prevented by helping the body promote blood flow head to tail. It's never too late to start your horse on a regular routine of massage and PEMF!

When it comes to performance, it’s always a good idea to know how to help your animals suffering with pain from arthritis.

As a rodeo family, I know we are always asking our pickup horses to be on point and be on their game everytime we swing that leg into the saddle. The same goes for stock contractors, when it comes to their rough stocks athleticism.

Over time they get worn out, they start to slow down, and they just don’t give that 100% performance like they once did. Unfortunately there is no cure, but what if there was a way to slow the process and ease the pain? With PEMF (pulsed electromagnetic fields) there is!

It’s important to know and understand proper hoof care!

This is why ringbone is such a horrible diagnosis.

We know a hoof rehabilitation farrier who began her in depth studies and apprenticeships because she lost her mare to ringbone from a lifetime of improper trim set ups in the hooves.

Ringbone is an issue that is mainly occurring because of a lack of knowledgeable (or timely) hoof care.

As the owner, it is Your job to educate yourself on what a well functioning hoof and leg alignment looks like.

While conformation, genetics, and the horse's daily use are also factors, how the horse's foot lands is super important to the long term soundness of the animal.

I am excited about the new year and what’s to come. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas, but it’s time to get back to it!

I will be at the North Texas High School Rodeo Friday and Saturday, as well as Sunday for the TYBR (Texas Youth Bull Riders).

I know I’ve been absent for a little bit, but in my absence on social media I’ve been working hard to better this business that I love.

I started Heart B because I have a huge passion for helping horses and their riders achieve success. I do that with every treatment I provide for my clients. The love for what I do has not changed, although the way I’m going about how I do it has. I’ve decided to make a few adjustments to help more than just horses. I’m opening my doors to ALL large animals. I’m beyond excited for what’s in store, with that being said there will be some minor changes to come in time.
