February is dental health month, but we celebrate pet dental health 12 months a year!

Dental care in animals is super important which is why we aim to check your pet's teeth at least once a year during their routine exam. Dental problems in pets can include breaking a tooth, an oral abscess, gum disease, or more! We recommend making an appointment if you notice that your pet has bad breath, a loose or discolored tooth, trouble eating, or swelling around the mouth as this could potentially indicate that it's time for a dental cleaning under anesthesia!

Take a look at VA Lea's dog, Lumi. Smaller dogs tend to need dental cleanings more often and sometimes at a younger age, so she had her first dental cleaning at the age of 2. Look how bright and white her teeth are looking now! 🦷

Jacie's goal is to graduate vet tech college so she can become a certified veterinary technician so she can perform dentals!

Fritz came in for his acupuncture treatment with Dr. Zisko, and his mom told us he reminds her of Spike from "The Gremlins" because of his mohawk! Happy National Brown Dog Day to Office Manager/CVT Steve's dog, Jadie!

Jadie is a Labrador/Vizsla mix and her favorite things in the world are snuggling with her mom, playing ball, and when Grandma comes over! She likes to become a kangaroo as soon as Grandma walks in the door, and her hops reach the height of her Grandma! Her family says that she is "the laziest-hyper dog you'll ever meet"!

Happy February!

You may have noticed that our Greenbrier location in Minnetonka has some periodic closures. Greenbrier is closed every Sunday, Wednesday, and Saturday, but there are some other days of the week that only our Golden Valley location is open.

We have started posting a calendar on Greenbrier's website each month on our "hours" section, so we recommend checking this before coming in to pick up medications or food. Our Golden Valley location will continue to be open every Monday through Friday!
