Hello everyone! I apologize to all who have reached out on messenger about puppies. I have not had a litter in just over two years. I have two kiddos of my own now who keep me SO busy! I first started the idea of “Ashley’s Aussies” when I bought my foundation dog, Jackson, when I graduated college and had graduation money burning a hole in my pocket. 🤦🏼‍♀️😆🤷🏼‍♀️😇 That was 16 years ago and I’ve had Aussies ever since. I had been having 3-4 litters a year until about 8-10 years in when my foundation dogs got older and I retired them. These doggos were my kids. I could not “use” them for breeding and then rehome them. They were my family. I did not retain any puppies to maintain my program at the level it had been going because I already had 6 Aussies that deserved my love and attention, and with adding two kids to our family, in the meantime I had less time to give to my original “kids.” So I wanted to do right by my foundation dogs and love them until the end when they had to cross the rainbow bridge. 💔🌈 I’ve lost a piece of my heart with each dog I’ve had to say goodbye to. With my kids getting older, I had decided to slowly wind down my Ashley’s Aussies breeding program since my kids started in sports, school activities, going on family vacations (which isn’t easy when you have 10 dogs!). I let my website go, which was painful since it officially seemed like the end of an era and closing that chapter of my life. ❤️💔 The last standing are my Kiah girl (who just turned 11- her and my son were babies and grew up together 🥹) and sweet Sadie who is a niece to my Maggie and Kiah. I had been searching for the original breeder of Kiah and Maggie’s parent’s CSIX lineage for years and RANDOMLY found a breeder in Oregon that had CSIX dogs related to Mags and Kiah! So that’s how Sadie came to be! I almost lost Sadie when her last litter was born in the summer of 2022. She developed a bad infection somewhere - we never really did find out what was wrong and after 2 weeks and many, many tests and IVs later, she finally got to come home from the vet! So I wanted to give her a long time to recover, IF ever she was going to bred again at all.
I am pleased to FINALLY announce that Sadie is due with a litter around October 21st! ❤️🐶 If the breeding was successful, her puppies would be ready for new homes just before Christmas. 🎄
I tried to get a good picture with her and the sire, Ace, but this was the best I could do with these two enormous goofballs! ❤️🥹 Hope you all enjoy them as much as I did. 🤣🤦🏼‍♀️❤️

Our sweet and spicy, little diva-princess Shelby went to heaven yesterday. Shelby was born in my very first litter on August 25th 2009. Her mom had been in labor for a couple of days - I had no idea what I was doing or watching for with dog labor! Many lessons learned since then. ❤️😇
She was the best babysitter I could have asked for and my son, Alex, was her best buddy from the day he came home from the hospital. Wherever Alex is, there was Shelby. 🥹 We live in the country and one day when Alex was two, he started to wander off up the dirt road while I was cleaning the dog shop but Shelby came running back, whining and crying to get my attention! Shelby loved her grandma Debbie and grandpa Dave, howling to the goose call, smiling when you told her she was “bad,” and always helped the other Aussie mamas with their babies when we had litters. I sure do hope all dogs go to heaven. Run free with your mama Red-dog, daddy Jackson, uncle Hank, niece Chloe and sisters Maggie, Lily, Lucy, and Gracie. I will sure miss your princess complex and your sneaky, ornery ways. Rest in peace sweet girl. 8/25/09-08/14/24 ❤️💔

“It came to me that every time I lose a dog they take a piece of my heart with them, and every new dog who comes into my life gifts me with a piece of their heart. If I live long enough all the components of my heart will be dog, and I will become as generous and loving as they are.”

We do mellow stuff like sparklers and pop-it’s for the kiddos on the 4th and save the BIG stuff for New Year’s Eve when it’s not fire season! But this idea seems way better for the 4th of July when we’re not setting the big stuff off! 🥹❤️🎆🎇🇺🇸🦅🍾
