Beautiful afternoon. This is my driveway. I had to hussle the deer off it. I guess they thought it was a good napping spot.
Well, gone is my lovely sunshine.
Yesterday was such a lovely day. The sun was shinning and the little herd of deer decided to come mow the grass for us. It must have worn them out because they had to take a nap in the middle of it. Fun watching them. We had a showing today too. Hopefully someone will decide this is the perfect 80 acre farm and make us an offer!
It's cold today. We're experiencing part of the nationwide "Hell freezing over" snap. I did make the short run into Goldendale and pick up some groceries, but otherwise, we're all laying low, sitting around the fireplace, enjoying the lights on the Christmas tree, and waiting for spring.
Everyone is out enjoying the little window of sunshine. Sure nice to have bare ground for a while. Kids are growing nice but I think everyone is anxiously awaiting some growth for grazing. Likely another 6 weeks darn it.
January2016kids in barn
Its raining and snowing so all the kids are goofing around in the barn. Moms and yearlings add to the mix and it gets kind of crowded till they settle down. Love watching the kids playing. Most of them are inside but a few have ventured to the open side to perform for me. It only seemed fair to get a video of their efforts.
Early morning visitor helping to keep the vermin population down. Thanks guy, we appreciate it.
Ducks enjoying a swim in the kiddie pool. They're actually the only kiddies we have right now....... and, really, that's the only pool we have now too.......
AKGA sale, Convention, Stephenville, TX
Youth sale of doe donated by Wes. The kid looks so happy, you miss the part where he hurrys over to hug his grandpa
We let the quads out this morning. The three girls are active and really enjoying the sun. I found a home for the little white one. He won't be able to keep up with the girls with those poor front legs. The girls are really loving getting out of the barn.
