We are all very excited about our new grooming tub. The business has come a long way. Going from just bathing with backyard hoses to then be gifted a brand new professional tub by one of our long standing clients, Divot. It’s a huge blessing for everyone. Now, all of our clients have the option to get groomed by us or if a pup gets a bit too dirty to go home after our adventure walk, we can give them a quick rinse and dry.

Grooming will be available for all pups in our area, however, our members get a discounted rate (What lucky pups!!). Details about our new grooming services will be on our website www.ridethebarkbus.com. If your pup needs a trim, we will be starting that up in the next few weeks as we gather more supplies and tools to get the job done right.

Thank you loyal costumers, friends, and fans. Small businesses flourish when a community supports their efforts and having faith that they can succeed.

Other News if you have not seen our “story”: Beginning January 1st, 2023, all dogs that ride on the bus will be REQUIRED to have a GPS collar AND insurance.

There is other news, but are working out the details before we make that announcement.

Tips to keep your dog cool outdoors:

1) bring extra water to wet their nose/face/ears, belly and paw pads
2) check their tongue/gums for changes in color (dark = overheated, too light = going into shock)
3) assist or let them dig out a space to lay in when resting in the shade
4) keep a 1:1 activity to rest ratio per half hour

Come along with us on a misty mountain day! Hear the ringing of bells? When visibility is low we make sure to keep our group within ear shot. Bells are great for hiking in the backcountry. It aids wildlife to find hiding places and avoid contact, gives other hikers and mountain bikers awareness of our presence, and helps us keep the group together when we can’t see them.
