Farm Sale, Saturday, Feb. 1st. 9am - 1pm. Store will open promptly at 9am.

2765 Baecker Rd, off FM 622 about 3 miles past Schroeder Hall going towards Goliad.

I'll most likely be working by myself this week, so thanks in advance for your patience. Also, we're wet again, so please park inside flagged off areas, and don't block the drive.

Baked goods: Sorry, no baked goods this week. Michele is under the weather and isn't up to baking.

Produce: We're seeing some residual damage from the weather last week, especially on the lettuce and spinach. So, here's what we have: A good amount of white turnips (bagged, no tops), and lesser amounts of cauliflower, broccoli florets, salad blend (lettuces, spinach, kale), collard greens, green onions, and kale.

Canned goods: Pickles, picantes, relishes, pickled okra, and jams and jellies.

Spices: Ground spices made from our peppers, different heat levels.

Update on the freeze: It looks like everything made it through with minimal damage, but since it was covered for most of the week, there wasn't a lot of growth. The market this week will be light on produce because of this.

Baked goods: Sourdough bread, white bread, oatmeal bread. Mini loaves of coffee cake and sweet Alabama pecan bread. No cinnamon rolls this week.

Produce: We still have quite a lot of beautiful, large heads of cauliflower, white turnips (in bag, no tops), and kale. If I can find anything else that I can pick, I will. Also have green tomatoes.

Canned goods: Still have a decent variety of pickles, but our stock is dwindling. Picantes, relishes, pickled okra, and a good selection of jams and jellies.

Spices: Various pepper spices available, made with peppers grown on the farm.

Baked goods: Sourdough bread, white bread, potato bread, mini loaves of coffee cake, cinnamon rolls (with pecans), and homemade egg noodles!

Canned goods: Still a decent selection of pickles, but they are dwindling. Picantes, relishes, pickled okra. Good selection of jams and jellies.

Produce: LOTS of cauliflower, some broccoli florets, white turnips (with and without tops), limited amount of salad blend, bok choy, green tomatoes, and whatever else I can find out there.

Spices: Good selection of our homemade spices made with our farm's peppers.

When I was about ready to come in for the night, I noticed the full moon shining brightly over one of our greenhouses and gardens. These 2 pics were taken about a minute apart, one with no flash and the other using my phone's 'Night Sight' mode. Pretty cool contrast!

No farm sale this Tuesday, Jan. 14th. Sorry, but we just do not have enough produce to be able to do 2 full sales a week right now. Our next farm sale will be Saturday, Jan. 18th.

However, if you want to pick up some cauliflower, we do have some on hand. Message us before coming out to make sure we can accommodate your pickup time.

ATTN: We received a little over 2" of rain yesterday and last night, so it is muddy out here. Please do not pull off of the driveway across from the store, and please, DO NOT BLOCK THE DRIVE. Parking areas will be flagged. Thanks!

Produce: LOTS of cauliflower, some head broccoli and florets, salad blend (lettuces, spinach, and kale), kale, collard greens, white turnips with greens, and a lot of green tomatoes (most medium sized).

What do we do when the weather is crappy and we're stuck inside? Seed inventory, then placing orders! We try to use as few vendors as possible to minimize shipping costs, but we usually place about 5 different orders, depending on what seeds we want. Fun, fun!

Update: We are sold out of all baked goods and salad blend. Still have plenty of broccoli and cauliflower, turnips, and some collards, tomatoes and bell peppers.

Produce: Quite a bit of broccoli and cauliflower (this will be the last of the head broccoli for a while, until the next planting comes in), broccoli florets, salad blend (lettuces, spinach, kale mix), collard greens, white turnips (with greens), and kale.

Canned Goods: Pickles, picante, relishes, pickled okra. Still have a good selection of jelly and jam.

Spices: Good selection of ground spices, made from our dried peppers.

This will be limited to produce and canned goods, no baked goods today. Broccoli, tomatoes, kale, collard greens, bell peppers, and a few cauliflower.

We still have a good selection of jams, jellies, pickles, relishes, picante and spices.

Update: We are out of cauliflower and spinach. We still have plenty of broccoli, collards, kale, and tomatoes. Also have oatmeal bread, 1 loaf of potato bread, and chocolate zucchini bread.

Yes, we will have a market tomorrow, Saturday the 28th. Will definitely have a lot of broccoli, some cauliflower, tomatoes, and bell peppers. May have some other produce as well, have not picked yet but will update later today. Gardens are really muddy!

We will not have lettuce this week as it took some damage from hail when the storm came through, but it should recover.

Also, we are stocked with a great variety of jellies, jams, picante, and relishes. Some of the pickle varieties are getting low.

We'll post a more complete listing later today.
