Yes, we will have a market tomorrow, Saturday the 28th. Will definitely have a lot of broccoli, some cauliflower, tomatoes, and bell peppers. May have some other produce as well, have not picked yet but will update later today. Gardens are really muddy!

We will not have lettuce this week as it took some damage from hail when the storm came through, but it should recover.

Also, we are stocked with a great variety of jellies, jams, picante, and relishes. Some of the pickle varieties are getting low.

We'll post a more complete listing later today.

Our kids gave us an awesome gift for Christmas - our very own Aching Back Farm flag! Now I either have to move the flagpole or trim the trees in front of it. Thanks so much, it's going to look great!

If anyone got a bag of kale out of our glass door cooler at the market today, that wasn't intended for sale. It was kind of old, and we were saving it for our chickens, lol. If you bought kale and it looks kind of yellowish, message us and we'll issue you a credit or you can pick up a fresh bag at the next market. Thanks!

Update: We still have some broccoli, bell peppers, and tomatoes left, and still a good selection of canned goods. No cauliflower or greens, nor baked goods.

Farm Sale, Saturday, Dec. 21st. 9am - 1pm. Store opens promptly at 9am.

2765 Baecker Rd, off FM 622 3 miles past Schroeder Hall on the Goliad side.

No orders or holds - shop early for best selection.

Baked goods: Potato bread, herb bread, and white bread. Mini loaves of pumpkin bread and coffee cake.

Produce: Still have quite a few tomatoes of varied ripeness, kale, lettuce blend, bok choi, turnip greens, green onions, bell peppers, and jalapenos. Also, broccoli and a lesser amount of cauliflower.

Canned goods: Twenty plus flavors of jams and jellies, good selection of pickles, relishes, pickled okra, and picantes.

Spices: We're working on restocking spices, hope to have more done by tomorrow.

Pecans: We have a few bags of pecans left, $12 for a 1 lb bag of mostly full halves.

Gift boxes: We have handmade cedar gift boxes that are already decorated - purchase the box and whatever goodies you want to gift. Quick, tasty, and unique!

Baked goods: White bread, potato bread, cinnamon rolls with pecans. Limited amount of baked goods this week.

Canned goods: Michele has been making more jelly this week, including Texas Dewberry, Very Berry, and a new one - Christmas Jam. Lots of other flavors of jams and jellies available. Still have a good selection of pickles, picante, relishes, pickled okra, and cowboy candy.

Produce: We have a LOT of tomatoes again, ripe to green and in-between. Very limited amount of lettuce blend and turnip greens, kale, green onions, bell peppers and jalapenos.

Misc.: Fresh shelled pecans from this years crop, mostly full halves, $12 for a 1 pound bag. Also, various spices and dehydrated bell peppers.

Gift boxes: Handcrafted wooden boxes, 3 different sizes available, already decorated. Just fill it up with whatever goodies you want to get, and have a quick gift for that hard-to-buy-for person.

Turkey sausage, kale, onion, apple, pecans, and cranberries.
Seasoned with salt, pepper, garlic, rosemary, thyme, sage, and red pepper flakes.
Served with butternut squash.

Update: The early rush is done, and we still have lots of tomatoes, plus green beans, kale, peppers, cinnamon rolls, and bread. The weather's not too great outside, but it's nice inside our little store!

Still a little light on produce offerings, but one variety of broccoli is almost ready, probably will have some next week. Found a few more forming heads on another variety, so they're getting there. Cauliflower is taking longer, but I did find a couple of small heads today. Turnips are growing well, beets a little further behind, carrots even more so. Lettuce and spinach growing slowly at the moment.

Baked goods: Lesser amounts of baked goods this week, so shop early! White bread, oatmeal bread, pumpkin bread, and cinnamon rolls with pecans.

Canned goods: Lots of jellies we haven't had in a while; Michele has been busy! Still have a good selection of pickles in pints, but the quarts are just about gone. Picantes, pickle relishes, pickled okra, cowboy candy, and candied pepper relish.

Produce: Last picking of the green beans - I pulled the plants while I was picking. LOTS of tomatoes - lots of ripe ones, picture posted was taken today. I've since picked about another 40 pounds. Will also have kale, eggplant (surprise!), bell peppers, and jalapenos.

Gift boxes: Select from 3 sizes of decorated, hand crafted wooden gift boxes and fill with your choice of items. Total will be the cost of that box plus whatever you put in it.

Pecans: Shelled out pecan halves, this year's crop. In 1 pound vacuum sealed package, $12 bag.

ATTN: A couple of notes. First, we'll be closing at noon, not 1pm. Also, we will not have baked goods for this market. To be honest, Michele is baked out after Thanksgiving and needs a short break. Lastly, produce is definitely between crops, so our goods this week will be a little less than usual.

Produce: Tomatoes - red, green and in between, get a variety and let them ripen over several days. Kale, bell peppers, and jalapenos. If we can get anything else harvested, we'll put it out.

Baked goods: Again, no baked goods this week, but we do have 5 bags of pasta (egg noodles) available.

Canned goods: We have a good selection of pickles, picante, pickle relish, jalapeno relish, cowboy candy, pickled okra, and jams and jellies.

We'll also have fresh shelled pecans available this week, and our handmade wooden gift boxes. You can fill these with our goods and have a quick gift you don't have to wrap!

As I mentioned last week, fall produce is coming to a halt. We will not have any lettuce blend this week, and very little squash and salad cucumbers. The cucumbers and squash are pretty much done until spring, and the lettuce was beginning to get bitter. We'll transplant the next round of lettuce, but it will be a few weeks before it comes into production. We will have what will probably be the last good picking of green beans. So, here's what we will have for the market tomorrow:

Produce - Lots of green beans (both Romano type and the French filet type), a little squash (mostly Mexicana), limited amount of salad cucumbers, kale, bell peppers, jalapenos, and hopefully, green onions. Our tomatoes are slowly turning, so we will have some available - green, ripe, and some just getting color. These will ripen in 3-5 days if you leave them on the counter, and don't refrigerate them.

Baked goods - Oatmeal bread, Country White bread, cinnamon rolls with pecans, pumpkin bread with brown sugar and pecan topping, and homemade egg noodles!

Canned goods - A good selection of pickles, picantes, pickle relishes, pickled okra, and jams and jellies. Michele made some Cranberry Jalapeno jelly this week, and a batch of Texas Dewberry!

Spices: We have an assortment of spices made with our peppers, and also have dehydrated bell peppers.

We will not have a market today (Tuesday, 11-19). Fall produce has slowed, so we're using the time to get more winter crops planted. Our next market will be this Saturday.

Farm Sale - Saturday, Nov. 16th. 9am - 1pm. We open promptly at 9. No orders or holds at this time.

Fall produce is coming to an end, so we're going to be in a bit of a lull after this week, until the winter crops come in.

Produce - Plenty of green beans this week, lesser amounts of cucumbers and squash. Lettuce blend, bell peppers, jalapenos, and kale. No okra or eggplant.

Bakery - White and Oatmeal breads, cinnamon rolls w/ pecans, pumpkin bread (mini loaves) and whatever else Michele has time to bake!

Canned goods: We have a great selection of pickles now, plus picante, sweet and jalapeno pickle relishes, candied pepper relish (hot!), cowboy candy (sweet jalapenos), plus jams and jellies.

We also have a selection of spices, and dehydrated bell peppers.

Sold out! All the beans have been sold or spoken for. We will have some beans available for Saturday's market.

Attention canners! We have a LOT of Romano type green beans available, about 80 pounds. Buy 10 pounds or more and they are $3/lb. They are available starting today for pickup at our farm. Only beans are available for this sale. We'll have our regular farm sale Saturday if you want other items.

These are big, meaty beans with a wonderful flavor. The only negative is that a few of the larger ones may have strings, but they pull off easily when you snap them.
