The Row Barn at Thistlewood Stables is the perfect home for a trainers lesson program! Additional stalls in the main barn are also available to add to the lease.

Sneak Peak 👀

Our custom tack trunks are in the process of being painted! Every stall in our main barn (row barn eventually) will include a tack trunk for boarders to store their tack in! How exciting is that?! Just wait until you see the inside!

We still have boarding availability in our Main Barn and Row Barn! Pasture board is full, however, we do not require any daily stalling time. We offer a quality private facility with excellent care and amenities.

Save $100 off your first month of full or premium care board in our main barn now through July 1st! *Can be applied for clients with more than one horse.

NEW Premium Full Care option that is perfect for anyone but especially clients who live out of town, have a busy lifestyle or retirees!

Premium Full Care $950/Monthy in Main Barn ; $850/Monthy in Row Barn

Includes:
•Feeding 2x daily or 1x daily (Between 6-10am & 4-8pm)
•Feed prepared and dressed with supplements *Feed & supplements NOT included (manager can arrange pickup if available locally, client will be billed for feed)
•Free choice hay in field provided during late fall and winter months (High quality orchard grass round bales)
•Hay provided in stall
•Stall cleaning & bedding
•Daily health and wellness check
•Hooves picked every other day
•Mineral Salt Block in Pasture
•Seasonal blanketing/fly combat-ion if supplies are provided by owner
•Winter blanketing Included (End of season in-house blanket washing for up to 3 blankets per horse included)
•Grooming 2x weekly (Brushing of mane, coat, tail, face; with owner supplied grooming supplies)

Our Row Barn was the second barn that was built on Thistlewoods 104 acre property. The row barn is a perfect option for someone who wants to be at a quality facility on a budget.

With seven stalls (potentially more in the main barn), Thistlewood is an excellent option to house a trainer’s lesson program.

Thistlewood Stables is looking to hire an individual to care for the horses while our primary caretaker is out of town! This is an excellent opportunity for a college or upper-level high school student!

Job Includes:
-Stall cleaning/Prepping
-Turnout
-Feeding Horses (in field) and Preparing Feed for next shift
-Health Checks
-Blanketing/Seasonal apparel
-Barn Cleaning (blow out aisle and sweep tack & feed rooms every other day)

Must have knowledge of horses and have some experience, strong work ethic, attention to detail, transportation, and be available to work weekends.

Mostly weekends (Friday-Sunday) about 1-3 weekends month.

Will pay per shift (takes less than an hour) or in exchange for discounted board rate in our row or main barn!

Liberty University and LCA students, this is also an excellent way to get your CSER volunteer hours in! *Must have prior horse experience and be reliable*

We believe quality is far greater than quantity here at Thistlewood! Our main barn features a large feed room with a hay chute, tack room with a kitchen and restroom, 12x12 wash stall with hot and cold water, fans throughout the isle, heating, and two water spickets. All of which allow for easy accessibility for all of you and your horses needs!

-These doors include a window with metal bars for extra ventilation on warm days!
