We are doing a Longest Pheasant Tail Contest this year. When you bring a Pheasant into be mounted, you will be entered for 50% off your pheasant mount.
The winners will be announced at the end of the season.

There will be 2 categories:
Youth: 8-15
Adult: 16 and above

Rules:
Must bring in a Pheasant and place a deposit to be entered.

This discount is for the bird only. Any additional fees and taxes will be added.

In the event of a tie: The person who brought in their pheasant first would be the winner

Bob's Wildlife Taxidermy LLC reserves the right to make any judgments during the contest.

TIP WEDNESDAY: Full body mounts - The sooner you can get your trophy to your taxidermist, the better, but if you can not here is few tips. Allow the body to get cold, and turn it from side to side while it cools. Once the body is cold, place it in a bag, remove the air, and then tie it closed. Repeat this again, in a second bag, and then lay flat in a freezer. If you have any questions, feel free to call

TIP WEDNESDAY- Deer Hunters: If you harvest a buck, don't just throw away the cape. Most taxidermist could use spare capes. We are willing to cape your deer for you at no charge, and the cape could be of some value for you as well. If you have any questions, feel free to call.

TiP WEDNESDAY: This is for the bird hunters. It is a very good idea when inspecting your trophy. To check for pin feathers. A good place to look is at the base of the tail area. If there is a lot of pin feathers. Good idea to find a different one.

TIP WEDNESDAY: I'm posting this to help those who want to cape their own deer. If you follow the lines around the body and up the back of the legs. There is no reason to cut down the back of the neck.

TIP WEDNESDAY: This is for the waterfowl hunters. Once you find the best specimen you want for your trophy. Take wet papertowls and wrap each leg and the face. Double bag it (once cool) and it can be placed in a freezer if you can't get it to a taxidermist soon.

This should give everyone a good idea of what the average cost for a should mount deer is thru out the nation. There is cheaper prices as well as much higher prices. The old say of "You get what you pay for." is very true in the industry.
