The Barn 501c3 - Riding Lessons - Adaptive Riding Lessons - Equine-Assisted Learning & Therapies We teach students as young as 4, and we work with adults too!

Blue Sky Organic Farms is a wonderful business just a few minutes away where you can get fresh produce, local products, and encourage community agriculture. Their farm store is my go-to place to buy gifts for “hard to shop for” people — the ones that already have everything they need, but who doesn’t love local jams and honey, fresh bread, beautiful flowers, and so much more — plus, they have friendly goats to pet!!

Winter Session lesson openings!

These are traditional riding lessons - these instructors are NOT certified to work with adaptive students.

Nine weeks - January 5 through March 8. Fees are pro-rated since our session has already started.

Lessons are private or semi-private. Students learn to groom, saddle, ride, and care for their horses. Lessons are suitable for children ages 5-14.

Price: $60/week private pay or $70/week with ESA.

We have availability:

Tuesdays
1-2pm - private, add $15 to the cost

Wednesdays
8am - 1 spot - semi-private for a student who already knows how to ride walk/trot independently

To sign up:

Include your child’s name and age, which time slot you want, if you are using ESA funds, and any relevant information (horse experience, personality traits, etc).

If you can't attend any of the lessons, we do not offer make-ups or refunds for client-canceled lessons, but we will try to arrange a swap with another family with a scheduled absence.

I am so sad to be making this post AGAIN, but hopefully this is the last one for a long while — our sweet pony Bella foundered back in July, and after many months of care and hoping, the vet has looked at her x-rays and advised that she is not going to recover from this episode.

Bella has been the safest, most unassuming not-so-little pony since she stepped off the trailer. She has been our go-to for preschool classes, birthday parties, camps, reading sessions, therapy groups, and anywhere we need a calm, steady presence. Kids love her heart-shaped star and her gentle personality.

We want to give her a wonderful last week, so please feel free to stop by sometime between today and Thursday and give her some love and (a couple of) treats. She is in the barn and will be happy to see you!
