Good Dog's 2021 Club Grant program is up and running. If your dog club would like up to $2000 to use as you need, apply today. Good Dog gave dozens of grants in 2020 to national and local breed clubs, as well as performance clubs.
The process is easy and the money is deposited directly in short order. Clubs are already using the grants to support their members' health testing, to update websites, offer more public education about their breed, and even to support a specialty.

Upon hearing the news that Gayle Watkins is joining the Good Dog team as Head of Education, many people have written to inquire about the status of Avidog Essentials and their ability to continue to get the canine supplements and supplies that we sell at shop.avidog.com. Many dog-food recalls aren't emergencies but this one is! If you feed Sportmix foods, to either your dogs or cats, stop feeding it immediately and contact your retailer ASAP. Summer is here and it's time to explore! We love to watch puppies learn about their world--how it smells, tastes, feels, and more. Here is True learning about horseshoe crabs.
We have been celebrating a lot of double-digit dog birthdays recently. We are convinced that vitality in old age begins before birth and is solidified in the first year of a dog's life. Not all of our dogs run agility like 13-year old Goose but we do all we can for every one of them to stack the deck in their favor. Here's to old dogs!
Here's a taste of what we did on Saturday. Take a minute to watch Mr. White having a great time with Gayle during an APET (Avidog Puppy Evaluation Test). This wonderful litter of standard Schnauzer puppies is owned by Klare McNeil, one of Avidog's breeder mentoring clients. If you know someone looking for a performance Schnauzer puppy, have them email Klare at [email protected] As of Saturday there was one still available.
Some fun for your hump day! We love it when Liz MacArthur's bulldogs come to visit our pups. This is patient Val with our Disney litter. You have to love the optimism of puppies and the tolerance of adult dogs!
We are delighted to see this litter of Husky puppies from Amarok Siberians playing in their Adventure Box. They sure had a great time making things clang! We love the fact that BJ changed the items hanging on her Adventure Box to give her pups even more experiences in the box. Good job, BJ!
