Your Local Maine Veterinarians

The Animal Hospital of South Gorham, at 47 County Road in Gorham, opened in January 1996, however, both of our veterinarians have worked in the Greater Portland Area since 1989 We are located along routes 22 and 114, just one half mile past O’Donal’s Nursery and about fifteen minutes from Portland. Our facility is a renovated 1887 farmhouse. The surgery, wards and treatment area are located in a modern addition.

Our staff has a strong commitment to client and patient service. We believe that your pets should be treated with the knowledge, care and consideration due to an important member of your family. Even though most of our patients are dogs and cats, we are comfortable treating a wide variety of less traditional pets. We routinely receive exotic animal referrals from many local clinics. Clients are entertained by the parade of psittacine birds, pocket pets (rabbits, rodents, guinea pigs, ferrets…), reptiles, poultry, amphibians and pet farm animals (sheep and goats) that wander through our waiting room. Our veterinarians stay abreast of modern techniques by attending conferences and seminars on the various species that we treat. The experience, honesty and skill with which we treat our patients allows us to provide dependable veterinary care for your non-human family.
