Thank you Laurie Storey for another great WEC show with all horses bringing home championship ribbons! Dani rode Lilly to their first (of many to come) Championship in the USHJA 2’ class! Bernie brought home Reserve Championship in the Green Hunters and had an outstanding and thrilling 5th place performance in the USHJA National Derby with Richard Rinehart! Missy rode Candy beautifully and won Reserve Championship in the Intermediate Adult Equitation. Kim and Fala continue their winning streak with Reserve Championship in Walk Trot Equitation! Congratulations to all!

Kensley Farm and Laurie Storey announce the 3rd annual Jeff Cook Clinic to be held at Kensley Farm on September 14 and 15, 2024!

Jeff Cook is a highly regarded clinician who has successfully trained Hunters and Jumpers since 1979. He teaches clinics throughout the US, and this is his only clinic in the Cincinnati area.

We have openings for the 2’, 2’6” and 3’+ groups. Join us for an amazing experience in our beautiful indoor arena! Stabling for overnight guests is available off site.

Whirlwind Weekend at Windfall! Congratulations to all our riders, horses, and our special pony! Our Kensley banner was filled with ribbons! Special kudos to Jane and Sadie for their Championship in the Limit Equitation! Ruby and good ol’ Rusty brought home a blue ribbon in a large crossrail class! Winning Week at WEC! Congratulations to all our riders and horses for an amazing, fun show! Bernie (ridden by Richard Rinehart) was Champion in the 3’0” Green Hunter and 11th in the USHJA 3’ Open Derby. Candy and Missy were Reserve Champions in the Low Adult Hunters, first in the Intermediate Eq Flat, and placed 8th in the Non-Pro 2’6” Derby. Fala and Laurie took home the Reserve Champion ribbon in the USHJA 2’6” class and Fala and Kim performed beautifully together in the Walk Trot Ground Rails classes! Lilly was a perfect lady for Dani, bringing home their first of many blue ribbons in the Future Hunters. Happy put big happy smiles on Jane’s face with one of their best shows, bringing home great ribbons in large USHJA 2’ classes and the Limit Hunter classes. Moon and Liz made us all proud with their expert performance in the Non-Pro 2’3” classes, showing us their potential to start a large ribbon collection! Luci rode her pony Shade with grace and talent, bringing home ribbons in the Large Pony 2’9” conformation, U/S, and over fences classes as well as the USEF Pony Medal. Larry and Lindsay wowed us all with high jumps and skillful turns in the Novice Junior/Amateur jumper classes with a strong performance in the Jumper Classic. Many thanks to our trainer Laurie Storey who works so hard to make the show a great experience for all! Thank you to our groom Melissa who managed all of our horses and horse people with expertise. Special thanks to Richard Rinehart for riding Bernie with amazing skill and success and for riding Larry to get him perfectly prepped for Lindsay! Thanks to the support of our family and friends! Thanks to our farm manager Courtney for cheering us on!

It was a very special week at WEC! Our first show with Kim’s new horse, Fala, who wowed us all! Laurie Storey and Fala were Champions in a large USHJA 2’6” class! Kim celebrated her birthday and went into the show ring with Fala for the first time and won 2nd and 3rd in ground rails! It was the second show for Dani’s new baby green Lilly and Laurie won top ribbons with her. Dani showed Lilly for the first time and made amazing progress! Lindsay and her talented young jumper, Larry, brought home a blue ribbon and collected more ribbons in the intermediate jumpers! Larry is learning so much and getting more experience in the big jumper ring! Luci and her pony, Shade, performed beautifully together, bringing home a blue ribbon in a Green Pony class and more ribbons in the WEC Medal and Pony Derby! They are getting more experience together, getting ready for Pony Finals! Finally Happy returned to the show with Jane, and they schooled happily together!

A special thank you to Laurie Storey our incredible trainer. I honestly don’t know how she does it! She cares so much about us and our horses and works hard to make the show a great experience. We are so fortunate to have Laurie at Kensley.

WEC Winter fun! Laurie and Sarah’s horse Bernie swept the 3’3” Green rounds with all blues, winning the Championship! Luci and her pony Shade brought home 3rd place in the USHJA Pony Hunter Derby! Kensley Farm with Laurie Storey celebrated an early Christmas at the WEC Winter Classic Show!! Luci and her large pony Shade were Reserve Champions in the Green Pony Hunters, with Shade winning the Large Green Pony confirmation class! Our group shined brightly in the Classics with Luci and Shade taking 3rd in the Green Pony Hunter Classic, Jane and Happy collecting 3rd (1st round) and 4th in the Low Adult Hunter Classics, and Kassidy and Finley taking home 3rd in the Limit Hunter Classic—-all in big competitive classes! Our newest addition, Lily, debuted in her first show in the US and took home her first ribbons in the Baby Greens! Bernie had great ribbons in the Green Hunters 3’3” and a stellar first Derby round! And Louie continues his collection of ribbons in the Baby Greens! Many thanks to our trainer, Laurie, for helping all of us reach our goals!! Thanks to Jen Davis for the gorgeous braids! We appreciate our groom Melissa, who worked tirelessly to keep us all on track! We love all of our family and friends who came out to support us! Thanks to WEC for a beautiful holiday experience!
