First round of training complete! One of these pups deals with reactivity, and the other is very fearful, but their loving owners are on track to keep helping them in both ways. 🐾💙

Assume your dog will be scared. Stay in a quiet room and run a fan or white noise machine, and pair with calming music. Give plenty of exercise during the day so they might sleep through the noises. Swaddling your dog in a thunder vest is often helpful too. Don’t take your dog outside to events with fireworks; you’re just asking for trauma—it’s not worth it.

Remi here has finished her first round of training and is officially in the “Goodgirl Club”!!! She will be starting her second round in July and I can’t wait. She struggles with nerves, but her loving pawrents are all in, which means I expect her to keep building confidence and courage. #💙🐾

Some ventilated summer booties that protect their pads are a simple solution to protect feet. And don’t forget to bring your cold water for them to drink and to rub onto their bellies, groin, and faces. Stick to shade and keep walks short. It’s a great day for some indoor nosework and hide ‘n’ seek!
